Heritage, Craft, and High Fidelity: World Wide Stereo at Radnor Hunt Concours d’Elegance

Written by: Elias Locke

The Radnor Hunt Concours d’Elegance returned to Chester County this September, once again pairing the artistry of automobiles and carriages with a weekend steeped in tradition and innovation. The weekend included a convivial Friday Night Barbecue, Saturday’s spirited Road Rally and elegant gala, and the showpiece Concours on Sunday. The 2025 event upheld its reputation as one of the country’s most distinguished celebrations of design, performance, and heritage.

This year, World Wide Stereo was honored to bring another layer of entertainment to the celebration—introducing a dedicated space where sound and design converged in harmony.

A Weekend Steeped in Tradition—and Innovation

The Radnor Hunt Concours d’Elegance has always celebrated craftsmanship across eras, pairing concours-quality automobiles with horse-drawn carriages, honoring centuries of design. This year was no exception: the concours field featured everything from meticulously restored classics to rare survivors and modern icons.

Highlights included rare Moon Motor Cars, racing legends David Hobbs and Erik Buell, and a remarkable display of Porsches—from air-cooled classics to the latest RS models. An extraordinary lineup of Mercedes icons, including the 300 SL Gullwing, 300 SL Roadster, and SLS AMG, completed the showcase. Together, these collections underscore that true elegance evolves with time yet never fades.

The Listening Lounge

Tucked inside the Radnor Hunt clubhouse, the World Wide Stereo Listening Lounge offered visitors a refined retreat where Concours guests could step away from the bustle of the show field and enjoy a high-performance music experience while sampling chocolates and bourbon. Guests settled into comfortable seating while vinyl spun on a McIntosh MT5 turntable, filling the room with warmth and detail—a natural complement to the precision and artistry displayed on the Concours field.

The Hospitality Tent

Outside the listening lounge, we welcomed guests into our hospitality tent, a relaxed environment where concours-goers took a break from the excitement to chat with our team, enjoy refreshments, charge their devices, and get out of the sun. Conversations flowed easily—from favorite vinyl albums to standout concours automobiles—and the tent became a gathering point for both newcomers and seasoned enthusiasts alike.

For World Wide Stereo, being a part of the Radnor Hunt Concours d’Elegance is about celebrating artistry—whether in automobiles, carriages, or music. Just as a finely engineered car rewards close attention to balance and detail, a thoughtfully designed audio system reveals new dimensions in sound.

By creating the Listening Lounge, we hoped to give visitors a chance to hear what we see on the field: elegance that moves us, inspires us, and lingers long after the day is done.

We thank everyone who visited us this year and look forward to returning in 2026 to continue this tradition of elegance, community, and unforgettable experiences.
