Field Service Technician

Hatfield, Pa

General Overview:

World Wide Stereo is seeking an Installer / Programmer for their corporate location in Hatfield PA.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of experience in audiovisual residential installation and exceptional customer service skills.

Position responsibilities:

  • Perform onsite audio visual equipment installation including wiring, trim-out, equipment rack set up, television installation, projector installation and calibration, audio hardware and speakers installation, and control system installation.
  • Knowledge of wiring including terminations and wire path pulls for optimum installations.
  • Strong networking skills including Home wired and wireless configuration.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and other network fundamentals.
  • AV equipment integration within a network.
  • Understanding of VPN and other remote access techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of mobile systems including Windows, MAC, Android and Apple operating systems.
  • CCP and TRC programming for the Universal Remote Control Platform.
  • Installation and programming of Lutron including Lutron Homeworks QS, Radio Ra2, and shade control.
  • Set up and programming of the Savant Smart Home Automation Systems.
  • Ability to configure and troubleshoot complex systems including programming and networks.
  • Professional can-do attitude.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload.

Technical Support Specialist

Hatfield, Pa

General Overview:

The Technical Support Specialist will provide exceptional service and support to customers, both internal and external, across multiple communication channels – phone, email, and chat. Keys to success in this role will include a positive attitude and sincere desire to assist our customers and ensure their experience with World Wide Stereo exceeds their expectations. 

This person is a smart, customer service-oriented professional with a strong desire to excel.  An excellent communicator — we want you to take ownership of customer inquiries and provide solutions to resolve as they arise. If you’re self-motivated and customer-focused, then this is a great opportunity to join a world-class team!

Position responsibilities:

  • Handle all levels of interaction with customers with clear, polished communication, ensuring best-in-class service and complete customer satisfaction. 
  • Exhibit passion for all things having to do with consumer electronics. Develop and maintain a knowledge of industry products and services by attending applicable vendor sponsored and online trainings.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of significant, relevant technologies, including home networking, A/V switching and transmission, consumer electronics equipment setup and configuration, and monitoring and control system programming.
  • Respond to Technical Service inquiries across all communication channels.
  • Handle inbound and make outbound calls to communicate with customers, vendors, manufacturers, and repair centers.
  • Address customer inquiries in a timely manner with strong documentation and follow-up.
  • Embrace change and proactively raise new ideas to improve the performance of the team.
  • Contribute unique content and ideas for product listings, customer FAQs, and digital marketing campaigns.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are a must.
  • Proficiency in all communications technologies used, including phone, email, and live chat.
  • Experience troubleshooting evaluating issues around a variety of technologies – including home networking and home entertainment technologies.
  • Practical problem solving and conflict resolution skills, with an ability to think outside the box.
  • Proven ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, dynamic contact center environment.
  • Ability to effectively manage time and individually prioritize multiple tasks of competing priority, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and follow-up.
  • Professional email and live chat etiquette.

Schedule:

This role will primarily work an 8:30 – 5:00 schedule, though periodic evening (until 8:00PM) and weekend availability will be required.
