Fully Balanced Dual-Mono Headphone Amplifier
The HA-507 employs a high-power analog amplifier circuit with exceptionally wide bandwidth and low distortion. Its fully balanced dual-mono configuration uses four amplifier elements for the left, right, positive, and negative channels.
Originally designed to drive full-size speakers, the amplifier delivers 6,700mW + 6,700mW at 32Ω through the balanced output. It can drive low-sensitivity and high-impedance headphones with exceptional power and musicality.
Headphone Connections & Gain Control
Two balanced outputs, including 4-pin XLR and 4.4mm Pentaconn, and two unbalanced outputs, including 6.3mm and 3.5mm connections, are provided. Gain can be switched between High, Mid, and Low to match the connected headphones.
Headphone Power Amplifier Mode
The HA-507 can operate as a dedicated headphone power amplifier when paired with an external preamplifier. Preamp pass-through mode bypasses its volume control while retaining gain and left/right balance adjustment.
Fully Balanced Dual-Mono Preamplifier
The HA-507 combines TEAC’s audio design expertise with a fully balanced dual-mono configuration to provide high-quality preamplifier performance for both headphone and loudspeaker systems.
TEAC-QVCS Advanced Volume Control
TEAC-QVCS Advanced uses four independent ladder-resistor circuits for the left, right, positive, and negative channels. It provides short signal paths, precise channel balance, and smooth volume control in 0.25dB increments.
Flexible Analog Connectivity
Two pairs of XLR inputs and two pairs of RCA inputs accommodate a variety of analog sources. FET input switching uses no mechanical contacts, helping preserve signal purity and long-term reliability.
TEAC-HCLD 2 Output Circuitry
XLR and RCA preamplifier outputs use TEAC-HCLD 2 circuitry for high-speed current transfer and powerful control of connected amplifiers and speakers.
Independent Dual-Mono Power Supply
Separate power supplies are used for the audio and control circuits. A large toroidal-core transformer with independent left and right windings provides 18,800μF of capacitance per channel for dynamic, responsive sound.
Mechanical Design Focused On Sound Quality
The compact aluminum chassis uses a semi-floating 2.8mm top panel and TEAC Stressless Feet to reduce unwanted vibration. Efficient fanless heat dissipation supports quiet operation.
High-Precision Controls
High-grade aluminum knobs and a motorized volume control provide precise, smooth operation from the front panel or included remote control.
