Building upon the success of the A1 model, the A2 features a mechanical, fully automatic system that allows precise tonearm placement. Users can select the appropriate setting for 7-inch (45rpm singles) or 12-inch (33 or 45rpm LPs) records using the designated dial. Additionally, the A2 supports 78rpm playback, accommodating a wide range of vinyl collections. For optimal performance with 78rpm records, it's recommended to use the Sumiko RS 78 stylus, which is compatible with the pre-installed Sumiko Rainier moving magnet phono cartridge.
Effortless Operation
Operating the A2 is straightforward: simply engage the 'Start' switch, and the tonearm will automatically position itself at the beginning of the record. During playback, the automatic functions remain inactive to ensure unaltered audio performance. Upon reaching the end of the record, the tonearm lifts and returns to its resting position, and the turntable powers down, preserving both the vinyl and the stylus.
