Product Information

Combining exclusive Marantz technologies and elegant styling, the CD6007 compact disc player features a reference class AK4490 192-kHz/24-bit D/A converter along with HDAM-SA2 (Hyper Dynamic Amplifier Module) technology to deliver pure sonic performance. The center-mounted CD drive mechanism is compatible with music CD, CD-R, and CD-RW discs, while the USB-A port even supports Hi-Res audio such as FLAC HD, DSD, and more.

  • Enjoy all your files through the front USB port including WAV, MP3, AAC, WMA, FLAC HD, ALAC, AIFF, and DSD files
  • Enjoy pristine sound quality from your CD and digital media files
  • New selectable two digital filters optimize the reproduction of digital music content
  • Full discrete headphone amplifier with HDAM-SA2, gain control, and auto-off circuit
  • Eliminate interference for sound purity
  • Gold Plated L/R/Coax output for a strong continuous connection to your amplifier
  • System remote controls CD Player, amplifier, and network player

Marantz HDAM Technology

Marantz developed its own discrete circuit boards to replace standard ICs. These HDAMs consist of discrete surface mount components with short mirror image L/R signal paths. These devices do exactly the same thing as the Op-Amps but outperform the regular IC Op-amps dramatically in terms of the Slew Rate and reduced noise level, resulting in a more dynamic, accurate, and detailed sound. In the CD6007, the proprietary HDAM-SA2 circuit improves on its previous HDAM module for a more stable power supply. The idling current stability is less influenced by power transistor temperatures to maintain sound performance even at the high-level output.

Reference Quality D/A Conversion

The CD6007 features a new Hi-Res D/A conversion. It is equipped with a reference class AK4490 D/A converter, offering two selectable filter options, and provides up to 192-kHz/24-bit and DSD 5.6MHz resolution for optimum musical fidelity with tight bass, pleasant mids, and smooth extended highs for CD playback and Hi-Res formats from a USB memory stick.

High Current Power Supply

The audio power supply employs high speed, high current Shottky Barrier Diodes, and new higher value current storage capacitors compared to the previous model. The size of the power supply capacitors has been increased by 120% for improved current stability and reduced AC noise during high demanding listening sessions.

High Slew Rate Op-amp + HDAM-SA2 Headphone Amplifier with Headphone Amp Gain Setting (Low/Mid/High)

The CD6007 offers an improved and redesigned headphone amplifier section. The CD6007 inherits the exclusive Marantz HDAM-SA2 circuit with three gain settings (Low/Mid/High) for a perfect match with almost any brand of headphones for an optimal solo listening experience. However, if you prefer, the headphone amp is also equipped with an “Off Circuit” function that automatically turns off the headphone amplifier when a headphone is not connected to the unit to avoid any unwanted interference or noise.

Plays Hi-Res Audio USB Sources

The CD6007 can playback MP3, WMA, AAC and WAV, FLAC HD, ALAC, AIFF (up to 192-kHz/24-bit), and DSD (up to 5.6-MHz) files from a connected USB storage device.

Digital Filter

The CD6007 introduces a new selectable digital filter option. This two-mode filter (Filter1/Filter2) allows the optimized reproduction of digital music content using the new AK4490 D/A converter to your taste. Filter 1 is a slow roll-off preset that improves deep stereo imaging while Filter 2 is a sharp roll-off filter for more precise imaging reproduction.

The Most Musical Sound

Engineered and extensively tuned by a team drawing on more than 65 years of Hi-Fi expertise, the CD6007 provides exceptional performance for your audio collection. Whether digital or analog, enjoy the most musical sound from any source.

CD6007 hit it out of the Audiophile universe
I bought the CD6007 since I have the CD6006 in my bedroom system, but the 6907 has a better DAC. I’m pairing it my SR 6012 Receiver using Audioquest Yukon Analog cables therefor using the DAC in the 6007 and using the pure direct mode on my 6012. Noticed a better separation and warmer sound with nuances I have not heard on my CD’s before. I have Paradigm Premier towers an 2 x10 subs paired with Audioquest Rocket 88 speaker wire BI-wired on the back of the speakers along with Audioquest husky Sub cables everything blends so well. My CD6006 in the Bedroom paired with the pm7000N integrated Amp using Audioquest Cinnamon coax digital using the 7000N DAC for playback. Also my Paradigm Atom 3 ways 3000F,. Also Rocket 33 speaker wire pairing my PSB Subsonic 5i Sub with Audioquest Boxer Sub cables. Even though the DAC in the 6007 is better than the 6006 both players help create a natural Warm Analog sound through modern Digital equipment. Always upgrading welcome to Audiophile world, thanks Marantz for an Audiophile on a budget. Mike Sippie

Take time for a good listening session
After waiting several months and frequently checking WWS website, even calling, I finally got my unit!. Lucky because for few hours was in-stock. Needless to say the wait was worth. This unit is a music's lover or music-phile's dream come true. Do we want all harmonics, partials and gestures embedded on a digital signal?. Yes!.
Been listening to several versions of Alban Berg's Lyric Suite and I can assert there are differences and nuances on each performance. Stringed sounds are rich and vivid. There is space on sound and certainly wide dynamic range being not too ingenious on these recordings. Great going to concert halls but have to admit that most music I listen is through loudspeakers. This is a good choice.

Great that WWS is keeping Marantz alive.

Good changer!
I wanted a CD player - nothing more - and bought this to pair with my Model 30 as the main input source. It's perfect; just what I wanted.

Much Ado About Nothing!
It doesn't play SACDs so what is its real worth? It is $800.00 & Marantz could not have included SACD playback? This is 2021. Does Marantz not want to pay Sony for its licensing fee? To brag about its sonic wonders without SACD? Any informed audiophile is going to buy a Sony Blu-ray with full capabilities for $400 - 700.00.

Great sound and build quality.
I bought this to replace my CD5004. I really wasn't expecting much difference in the sound quality. But I was amazed when I played my first CD on my new CD6007. It pairs perfectly with my NR1200 which I bought about 3 months ago.

Quality of sound.
It makes my cds sound digital again, soundstage is wider, more bass, powerful midrange; and my favorite, smoother highs.

Can’t miss with this unit.
I am so impressed with the value this CD player brings to the table. It is very balanced and still dynamic. Great looking as well. I listen to a lot on vinyl but wanted the convenience of a CD player as an option and this is the ticket!

Incredible Sound
Yes, it’s true to the few reviews out there. It replaced an old school Sony that sounded great with with late 80s NAD and Adcom. Great soundstage.

Great sounding !!
I Paired this with my PM6006 and its wonderful match, with one cons that bothering me and I guess others, , USB only accept FAT16 & FAT32 format which is old, today most devices from microsoft, apple etc , is implementing the NTFS, exFat format , when marantz R&D's will take action this seriously? I hope a firmware update will resolve it..,

I wanted a good-sounding, reliable CD player. The Marantz CD6007 had good reviews and seems like a solid machine. The built-in headphone amplifier is a plus.
