Power & the Glory (Mixed By Steven Wilson) - Vinyl LP

Prog-rock fans have been after Gentle Giant for years to issue their classics in audiophile mixes. Now, they have finally obliged, teaming with musician/producer Steven Wilson to bring 1974's the Power and the Glory (their first Capitol LP to hit the U.S. charts) to hi-resolution stereo and 5.1 surround sound. Those mixes come on the DVD and Blu-ray here, which also include animated videos for the whole album, and you also get the original 1974 stereo mix on those discs. The remixed album on CD adds the instrumental outtake Aspirations, and the Blu-ray version adds instrumental versions of the whole album. Lastly, for those who must have their prog-rock on vinyl, the LP here is on 180-gram vinyl and boasts Wilson's brand-new mix! Mute.
