The MC 930 can undoubtedly be called a universal talent. Handmade at the company headquarters in Heilbronn, Germany, this true condenser microphone naturally captures a wide range of sound sources. Outstanding technical features, a clever design including switchable pre-attenuation and a switchable low-cut filter make the MC 930 a flexible companion in the studio and live on stage.

- Wide 40Hz–20kHz Frequency Response
- Switchable -15dB Attenuation
- Switchable 250Hz Low-Cut Filter
- Handcrafted In Germany
An Acoustically Balanced Allrounder
The MC 930 small-diaphragm true condenser microphone provides natural, detailed reproduction across a wide range of sound sources. Its largely linear frequency response makes it suitable for acoustic guitars, piano, hi-hats, drum overheads, choirs, orchestras, vocals and solo instruments.
As Easy As Flipping A Switch
Switchable -15dB attenuation allows the MC 930 to handle loud instruments. A 250Hz low-cut filter with a 6dB/octave slope reduces unwanted low frequencies caused by impact sounds and proximity effects. The microphone operates with 11–52V phantom power.
Fast, Faster, MC 930
The handmade true condenser capsule features a gold-vaporized diaphragm with excellent impulse and vibration behavior. Its fast transient response captures percussive sounds accurately while maintaining natural, detailed reproduction.
Powerful For Use with Audio Interfaces & Mixing Consoles
The MC 930 provides a high sensitivity of 30mV/Pa, delivering a strong output signal that requires relatively little amplification from connected audio interfaces and mixing consoles.
A Cardioid Pattern with Specific Advantages
The MC 930's nearly frequency-independent cardioid polar pattern prioritizes sound from the front while reducing unwanted side and rear signals. This helps minimize crosstalk from nearby instruments during studio recording and live performances.
Quality Made In Germany
Handcrafted in Germany, the MC 930 features precision-made acoustic components, including its true condenser capsule, system suspension and counter electrode. In-house manufacturing helps maintain consistent quality and acoustic performance.
A Hard Shell Protecting A Clever Core
The MC 930's true condenser capsule is protected by a durable metal housing with carefully positioned acoustic openings and a robust sintered disc. Its compact, lightweight construction makes positioning easy, while a sturdy hard case provides protection during storage and transportation.
Individual Measurement Curve
Each MC 930 is individually measured during production to verify its acoustic characteristics. A printed measurement curve is supplied with the microphone.
Durable Materials
The MC 930 features durable materials designed for daily professional use. Beyerdynamic's service policy allows many individual components to be replaced if necessary.
