Developed For Guitarists & Singers
The DT 72 IE is designed for guitarists and vocalists who demand the highest sound quality. Its subtle bass provides a stable foundation without overpowering the low frequencies. The optimized frequency response (200–500 Hz) prevents the occlusion effect that occurs when an in-ear headphone seals the ear canal. Slightly elevated upper mids enhance the presence of guitar and vocals, while refined treble delivers brilliance without harshness.
Reference Sound Thanks To Innovative Driver Design
The heart of the DT 72 IE is the TESLA.11 driver system, crafted in Germany and superior to conventional balanced armature systems. It delivers outstanding detail resolution with minimal distortion (THD: 0.02%). Thanks to its high impulse fidelity, acoustic events are reproduced with precision. With up to 137 dB sound pressure, the DT 72 IE is among the most powerful and low-distortion in-ear monitors on the market.
Better Fit = Better Sound
Many in-ear monitors fit poorly due to large driver systems, affecting sound quality and isolation. The DT 72 IE solves this with its space-saving TESLA.11 driver and an ergonomic design based on hundreds of MRI ear scans. It is more compact than comparable models, offering excellent sound, high isolation, and optimal comfort. For maximum flexibility, the package includes five silicone and three Comply™ memory foam ear tips.
Excellent Sound Isolation
Live stages and event halls can be extremely loud. Therefore, it’s crucial that a high-quality in-ear monitor delivers excellent sound quality and protects your hearing from long-term damage. The DT 72 IE has passive sound isolation of -39dB, making it one of the leading systems on the market.
Masters Studio, Stage & Everything In Between
The DT 72 IE was developed with sound engineers and effortlessly handles the demands of studio and live use. Its high-quality cable minimizes structure-borne noise, while the gold-plated MMCX connector provides a more stable connection than 2-pin alternatives. Additionally, the DT 72 IE is dust and waterproof to IP68 standards.
