Vinyl LP. Boston-area music fans are familiar with this little indie pop-rock outfit. Bent Shapes performs all of their own songs written with modern lyrics, about modern life with the drumming beat of an early '60s bubble gum rock band. They are handy with a few strong guitar licks, too. Yet, their lyrics embrace the neurosis of modern dating and the pecking order of the social scene. It is a retro-modern act that is really hitting it's stride on the 11 songs from this 2013 album.
