PowerQuest 303 Surge Protector and Power Conditioner with 12 Outlets
The AudioQuest PowerQuest 303 is a high-performance power conditioner with 12 AC outlets (4 High-Current outlets for amplifiers and 8 Linear-Filtered outlets for source components), a 2m detachable AC power cable, and 2RU rack ears for simple rack-mounting. Detachable PQ-415 Cable
The detachable PQ-415 cable uses AudioQuest’s high-purity Semi-Solid Long-Grain Copper conductor metal in which strands are packed more tightly and never change position within the bundle, significantly reducing strand-interaction distortion. Long-Grain Copper further minimizes distortion caused by grain boundaries that exist within any metal conductor. A fundamental aspect of AudioQuest's multifaceted Noise-Dissipation technology, Direction-Controlled Conductors ensure induced noise is dissipated and drained properly — away from the system’s vulnerable circuitry.
Protection Features
The PowerQuest 303’s important protection features include Non-Sacrificial Surge Protection and Extreme Voltage Shutdown, keeping itself and valuable components safe from common daily micro-spikes as well as potentially catastrophic power surges. Non-Sacrificial Surge Protection withstands multiple strikes of 6000V or 3000A — the maximum that can survive through a building’s AC electrical panel — without damage. Extreme Voltage Shutdown activates the main circuit relay in under 0.25 seconds when presented with 140VAC, and automatically resets once that incoming voltage is within a safe range.

High-Purity True-Concentric PSC+ LGC Conductors
With only Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+) on the outside, Monsoon’s conductors are essentially all PSC+ even though the conductor core is Long-Grain Copper (LGC). Both superior metal and conductor geometry greatly reduce ear-fatiguing Transient Intermodulation (TIM) Distortion.
Uncompressed High-Current Transfer
While many AC power cables feature low DC resistance in order to accommodate the demand for high current, a cable’s characteristic impedance is also crucial for optimal performance. Unlike most AC cables that constrict or compress an audio-provoked transient, AudioQuest AC cables combine low DC resistance and ZERO (no) characteristic impedance in order to deliver uncompressed high-current transients on demand.
Ground Noise-Dissipation
AC Ground wires provide protection from current-wiring faults, but they also act as antennas. Thus, they are subject to induced radio-frequency (RF) noise. This RF noise bypasses component power supplies and is typically coupled directly into a system’s most sensitive audio/video circuits. AudioQuest’s patented Ground-Noise Dissipation greatly reduces this distortion, yielding unprecedented levels of noise dissipation across the widest bandwidth (range) of radio frequencies possible. AQ's unique circuit-topology utilizes a common-mode phase-cancelling array, in concert with proprietary dielectric materials which provide additional differential linear filtering.
Directionality
All drawn metal strands or conductors have a non-symmetrical, and therefore directional, grain structure. AudioQuest controls the resulting RF impedance variation so that noise is drained away from where it will cause distortion. The correct direction is determined by listening to every batch of metal conductors used in every AudioQuest audio cable. When applicable, arrows are clearly marked on the connectors to ensure superior sound quality. For most models of AQ cable, the arrows not only indicate the direction that optimizes metal-directionality as part of Noise-Dissipation, but also indicates non-symmetrical attachment of shield and GND in order to optimize full-system performance.
