Niagara 3000 Low-Z Power Noise Dissipation System

With the introduction of the Niagara 3000, AudioQuest expands your capability to stop noise contamination and current compression. Almost all of the effective technology that distinguishes the award-winning Niagaras 5000 and 7000—AQ’s patented AC Ground Noise-Dissipation System, Transient Power Correction, extremely wide-bandwidth Level-X linear filtering, and more—is here, but at a more accessible price.

Patented Ground-Noise Dissipation System 

Greatly reduces ground-borne noise without compromising safety or creating low-level ground loops.

Transient Power Correction 

Provides power amplifiers a current reservoir of over 55 amps peak (up to 25mS) for AC current transients.

Level-X Linear Noise-Dissipation Technology 

Ensures the most consistent and widest bandwidth noise dissipation possible, without the inconsistent multi-node resonant peaking typically found in most AC power conditioners.

AQ-Formed AC RF Filtering Capacitors 

Dramatically improve linearity and minimize distortions, while dissipating AC line and radio-coupled noise.

Niagara 3000’s NRG-Series AC outlets not only feature superior grip and lower resistance thanks to beryllium copper, they also include thick Hanging-Silver plating to ensure the lowest impedance at radio frequencies, enabling superior noise dissipation. And, of course, like all Niagara products, the slim 2-RU Niagara 3000 features direction-controlled ultra-low-resistance solid wiring and filter inductors optimized for the highest efficiency noise-dissipation of radio frequencies.

NRG-Y3 Low-Distortion 3-Pole AC Power Cable - 3.28' (1m)

NRG-Y2, NRG-Y3, NRG-Z2, and NRG-Z3 AC cables take advantage of the same get-out-of-the-way and Noise-Dissipation technologies as the NRG Storm Series of AC cables.

All these models feature Zero Characteristic Impedance for Uncompressed Current Transfer:

A non-technical analogy for this might be that if you drop a coin in a tube with shampoo in it, no matter how wide (low resistance) that tube, the shampoo (the Characteristic Impedance) is going to get in the way (compromise current transients). Eliminating Characteristic Impedance (Zero means No in this application) is like having only air in the tube, as close to a vacuum as possible. Whether the amp is running at less than a watt or is fully maxed out, the unrestricted transients are visceral — something the whole body understands, no words required.

NRG-Y2 and NRG-Y3 AC cables use Long-Grain-Copper (LGC) in a 7-strand Semi-Solid Concentric arrangement in which the strands never change position within the bundle. This technique significantly reduces strand-interaction distortion. The higher purity and fewer grains within LGC copper further reduce distortion.

All the new models also feature Direction-Controlled Conductors & Silver-Plated Shield Drains:

All drawn metal has a non-symmetrical, and therefore directional, grain structure. AudioQuest controls the resulting RF impedance variation so that noise drains away from where it will cause distortion. The Silver-Plated shield drains efficiently remove RF noise from the line and neutral shields via the wall plug’s “ground” pin – which is why even the 2-Pole “2” models have an unexpected ground pin.
