Rather than simple leftovers, these recordings reveal Atomic Opera exploring the full range of their musical identity-groove-driven heaviness, adventurous arrangements, and the deliciously stacked vocal harmonies that linked them to fellow Houston innovators like King's X and Galactic Cowboys.The material eventually surfaced in 1999 as the CD-only release Alpha & Oranges on Massive Groove Productions, offering fans a deeper glimpse into the band's creative momentum during the For Madmen Only era.Now, for the first time ever, Alpha & Oranges arrives on vinyl.
