Bass Built To Be Felt
Bass can disappear quickly in an open boat, especially once wind and engine noise enter the mix. The M-A120M delivers 1,200 watts RMS at both 2 and 1 ohm, giving installers flexibility to power one or two compatible subwoofers without giving up rated output. At 4 ohms, it supplies 600 watts RMS for systems that require a lighter load.
The result is deep, controlled bass with the strength to add weight to every track and the output needed to be felt throughout the boat, whether cruising, anchored, or entertaining at the dock.
Protected for Life On The Water
The M-A120M is built for the conditions that come with life on the water. Its IPX6-rated waterproof chassis helps protect against powerful water spray, while salt, fog, and UV resistance support long-term durability in demanding marine environments. A watertight top-panel cover shields the tuning controls, while included power and speaker terminal boots add protection around the connected wiring. An included remote-port cover protects the connection when the optional RUX-M-UNIV Bass Knob is not installed.
Complete Your Alpine Marine System
The M-A120M makes it easy to add serious bass to a streamlined Alpine Marine system. Use the built-in amplifier in the UTE-M701 or UTE-MN801 Marine Receiver to power your Alpine Marine speakers, then dedicate the M-A120M to one 10-inch or 12-inch subwoofer at 600 watts RMS—or two compatible 4-ohm subwoofers for 1,200 watts RMS at 2 ohms. This approach keeps the system simple while delivering clear sound throughout the boat and deep, powerful bass where the music needs it most.
Shape The Bass for Your Boat
Powerful bass performs best when it is tuned to the subwoofer and enclosure. The M-A120M includes an adjustable low-pass filter to keep unwanted higher frequencies out of the subwoofer, along with a subsonic filter that helps protect against excessive movement below the enclosure’s usable range. A fully adjustable parametric EQ lets installers select the amount, width, and frequency of bass boost.
Together with the gain-setting clip indicator, these controls make it easier to create bass that is strong, clean, and matched to the boat.
Keep The Bass Playing
Long days on the water can place heavy demands on a high-powered subwoofer amplifier. The M-A120M combines a large finned heat-sink design with best-in-class thermal handling and an advanced thermal protection circuit. As temperatures rise, the amplifier can automatically manage output to reduce heat and help prevent an immediate shutdown.
Once normal operating temperatures return, full output is automatically restored, supporting dependable bass performance through extended listening sessions from launch to sunset.
Flexible, Installation-Ready Design
All signal, power, and speaker connections are arranged along one side for easier access and a cleaner installation. Detachable, ABYC-compliant terminals simplify wiring, while dual mono speaker outputs support convenient connection of one subwoofer, two subwoofers, or a dual-voice-coil subwoofer when properly configured. High- and low-level inputs support factory or aftermarket sources, and the optional RUX-M-UNIV Bass Knob provides convenient subwoofer level adjustment from the listening position.
