Advance Paris A8 APEX Integrated Amplifier
The APEX range is the result of the Advance Paris engineering team’s efforts to push the boundaries of the Classic line in terms of performance and functionality. The A8 APEX features the hybrid design of the brand’s flagship integrated amplifiers in a more compact form, yet still delivers 76 W per channel in Class A/B at 8 Ω with the same musicality recognized worldwide. To celebrate the brand’s 30th anniversary, Advance Paris presents a special 30TH EDITION with a black finish and white VU meters. The A8 APEX combines timeless design with modern technology to deliver power, musicality, and ease of use.

Design & Build Quality
The A8 APEX’s construction reflects the meticulous craftsmanship typical of Advance Paris. Its chassis features a rigid metal frame and an internal layout designed to isolate sensitive audio circuits from electrical noise. A toroidal 240 VA transformer ensures clean, stable current delivery, supporting the amplifier’s detailed yet controlled sound signature. The front panel is elegantly minimal, featuring dual illuminated VU meters that recall the golden age of hi-fi while highlighting the amplifier’s performance in real time.
Hybrid Amplification Technology
At the heart of the A8 APEX lies a hybrid preamplifier stage using two ECC81 / 12AT7 vacuum tubes. These tubes provide the warm, musical character of analog sound, while the solid-state Class A/B output stage adds power, speed, and precision. The result is 76 W × 2 into 8 Ω and 110 W × 2 into 4 Ω, delivering plenty of drive for a wide range of loudspeakers. A High-Bias mode allows operation closer to pure Class A at lower power levels, offering richer harmonics and smoother textures for critical listening.
Connectivity & Versatility
The A8 APEX is designed to serve as the central hub of any high-performance audio system. It includes eight analog RCA inputs (including an MM phono input for turntables) and four digital inputs—one optical, two coaxial, and one USB for direct computer connection. Wireless streaming is available via an optional Bluetooth aptX AD-LL (A-BTC) module, while an HDMI eARC port allows seamless integration with modern TVs for improved movie and concert sound.
For system expansion, the amplifier offers PRE-OUT, AMP-IN, REC-OUT, and SUB-OUT connections, as well as 12-V trigger control to power on connected components simultaneously.
Sound Performance
The Advance Paris A8 APEX delivers the brand’s signature balance of musical warmth and dynamic clarity. Its tube preamplifier stage provides natural midrange tones and expansive soundstage depth, while the solid-state output ensures control and punch across the frequency spectrum. With a frequency response from 20 Hz to 80 kHz, THD of 0.03%, and signal-to-noise ratio of 100 dB, the A8 APEX maintains precision and purity at any volume. Whether playing vinyl, digital files, or streamed content, it conveys music with a refined, engaging presentation.
Practical Features
User-friendly features include tone and balance controls, automatic standby (adjustable from 5 to 60 minutes), and a High-Bias switch for instant sonic tailoring. The 6.35 mm headphone output ensures high-quality personal listening, while the infrared REM-19 remote control provides intuitive operation across multiple Advance Paris components.

Built-in Bluetooth® transmitter
The TN-280BT-A3 delivers the sound wirelessly via built-in Bluetooth® transmitter, in addition to conventional RCA output in analog Line or Phono format. The pairing button is located at the right-front side of the cabinet, and pairing indicator tells you the speakers/headphone is successfully connected.
A new way of record playing
Unlike other turntable units, the TN-280BT-A3 provides you the simplest way of listening to vinyl records via Bluetooth® wireless technology. If you already have a Bluetooth-enable speakers or headphone for your iPhone/Android phone, all you have to do is to install the TN-280BT-A3 in your room – no pricy hi-fi system and complicated wiring are required. The connection is as simple as ABC, just press the BT pairing button when the Bluetooth® speakers/headphones are ready to the pairing, and once the connection is established, you don't need to repeat the same process every time you listening to vinyl records. The TN-280BT-A3 also provides conventional ways of connection to hi-fi system with or without PHONO input via cable, and an RCA audio cable comes with the TN-280BT-A3.
An authentic 2-speed Turntable
The high inertia Aluminum die-cast platter is driven by a high torque DC motor for stable rotation for both 33 1/3 and 45 rpm. A soft felt mat further reduces vibration effectively. The high accuracy of the spindle is maintained by a polished Stainless steel Spindle and highly durable bronze spindle holder.
High-density MDF cabinet construction
Unlike other with plastic chassis, the heavy MDF cabinet minimizes vibrations and resonance for clearer sound when you playback your vinyl collection.
Built-in MM-type Phono EQ amplifier
Enjoy vinyl playback with any amplifier. The TN-280BT-A3 supports both Phono and Line outputs that allow you to enjoy vinyl records with or without phono equalizer.
VM-type cartridge pre-installed for quick start
A straight tone-arm is employed for high tracking accuracy. The anti-skating mechanism also ensures accurate tracking of vinyl records. An VM-type (equivalent to MM-type) cartridge Audio-Technica AT3600L is installed at the factory.
