Project Profile: Bucks County, PA

The Entertainment Pavilion

“The Pavilion”, as our clients call it, is an exceptional outdoor entertaining space set amidst the beautiful Bucks County, PA landscape. Designed from the ground up in collaboration with the architect and builder, this space seamlessly integrates the smart home and entertainment technologies that our clients enjoy inside their home and brings it outside. Complete with a multi-zone outdoor music system and all-weather TV, full-property WiFi and video surveillance system, lighting design and control, and custom-fabricated shading system. This project celebrates how a brilliantly designed and connected home - inside and out - can bring family and friends together.

The entire Pavilion is framed with hand-hewn beams which also extend across the patio into an expansive pergola. To ensure the client and designer’s vision and not intrude or compromise the design aesthetic and build of the structure, the entire wiring infrastructure is completely hidden via multiple conduits coming up through the beams to the television and the speakers. The speakers themselves were airbrushed to match and blend into the custom color of the ceiling.

To ensure comfort throughout the seasons, sailcloth motorized shades were custom fabricated to extend across the entire pergola side of the Pavilion to provide on-demand shelter from rain or the hot sun and outdoor ceiling fans ensure a breeze. The entire system – from the shades and ceiling fans, to the LED lighting, TV and music and surveillance systems, can be controlled at the touch of a button via an app. Our clients can control their entire home technology experience from anywhere, anytime.

Our clients love to cook and entertain. An all-weather outdoor TV overlooks a fully-equipped cook’s kitchen with high-end Hestan appliances and a pizza oven and a firepit sets the scene for late night smores. An outdoor 4K UHD TV can stream just about anything in the kitchen area and a high-performance, multi-zone audio system envelopes the entire space with immersive sound. Our clients have easy control over the audio zones and can take their pick of playing the TV audio or music through all zones across the Pavilion, or they can listen to the TV in the kitchen while playing music by the firepit.

What’s next for The Pavilion? Our clients plans to expand the music zones and add additional powered awnings for added shade.
