When MaMo Architects moved into a reimagined former municipal building in Ardmore, the vision wasn’t just a new office—it was a physical expression of their brand: open, craft-forward, and intentionally designed around how their team works every day.

The building features a wide-open floor plan, exposed ceilings, and carefully considered materiality. Our role was to integrate the technology—networking, audio, conferencing, and surveillance—so it was as thoughtful as the architecture itself: highly functional for staff, seamless for clients, and fully aligned with MaMo’s aesthetic. In a studio where every material and sightline matters, the objective was clear: systems that perform flawlessly while remaining visually unobtrusive.

Enterprise-Grade Network Infrastructure

A high-performance, enterprise-grade Wi-Fi network serves as the backbone of the office, supporting day-to-day operations, collaboration, and future growth. Reliable connectivity was critical for a collaborative studio environment where staff regularly share large design files, host video meetings, and present project materials.

Access points were strategically placed to provide seamless coverage throughout the facility while remaining visually unobtrusive. All network and AV equipment is centralized in a lower-level utility closet, mounted on an organized wall rack with proper ventilation to ensure long-term performance and serviceability.

Conference Room AV & Screen Sharing

The main conference room is equipped with a 65" thin-panel display to support client presentations, internal design reviews, and video conferencing.

The system allows simple wireless casting of plan sets and project visuals directly from workstations or devices—without any cable clutter. The display also functions as a digital showcase for completed projects, visible from the street-facing conference room windows.

A secondary meeting space downstairs is supported in a similar manner, ensuring consistency throughout the office.

Distributed Audio System

Music plays an important role in the studio’s daily rhythm—and in a wide-open workspace, sound is also a tool for creating comfort and focus. Because the ceiling features an exposed, open-architecture design, we selected black pendant speakers that visually blend into the space while delivering even, balanced coverage.

The distributed audio system is configured in multiple zones, allowing for simple, intuitive control when and where they want it.

Video Doorbells & Security

To support daily operations and after-hours visibility, we installed video doorbells at the main and rear entrances. Staff can see and communicate with visitors directly from their devices, making client arrivals and deliveries easy to manage.

A security camera overlooking the rear parking area provides additional visibility and peace of mind, viewable anytime from anywhere.

The office is supported by our 24/7 live technical support program, ensuring continued reliability and assistance as their needs evolve.
