Impressively Deep, Clean SVS Bass in an Inconspicuous 13" Cabinet

Like a stick of dynamite, the SB-1000 300 Watt DSP Controlled 12" Ultra Compact Sealed Subwoofer is easy to conceal, but its impact is hard to ignore. It's the most SVS bass that can be condensed into a 13" package. When it's time to party, your music comes to life, bass lines are tight, and drums are never muddy.

Elegantly finished in premium black ash, gloss piano black, or gloss piano white, it fits with any décor. And yet, it's small enough to tuck in a corner if you need to keep it out of the way. To maximize the slam and impact of your home theater (with a minimal footprint), two SB-1000s can be paired, one on either side of the room.

For big movie and music enjoyment in a small package, go with the SB-1000.

Sledge Amplifier STA-300D

The Sledge STA-300D amplifier packs technology and sophistication not found anywhere else at this price point.

This amp features a highly advanced DSP processor offering unmatched control over the subwoofer at all drive levels, for the ultimate in refined behavior. The control knobs are actually digital actuators for precise and noise-free adjustment.

Incredible bang for the buck in a wonderfully musical sub
I was on the fence between the SB-1000 and PB-1000 models. After a quick online chat with a customer service rep, I decided on the SB-1000. The big differentiator for me was performance with music. I use the system this sub is installed in for music about 60% of the time, movies the remainder. I listen to a wide variety of music, but a lot of it is progressive rock/metal, and fast response + control is a must.

I've only had a few listening sessions so far, but have been thoroughly impressed. The SB-1000 is far more tuneful than the 8" ported enclosure sub from V____ that I've had for years in the system. There's not only deeper bottom end, but it's tighter, cleaner, and much more musical. I couldn't be happier.

For the budget, the SB-1000 is hard to beat. The small enclosure size is also a big plus in fitting into the aesthetics of the room.

Perfect for Heavy Metal !
After spending a couple of days on the internet learning everything I could about subwoofers, I came across the SVS line and realized I needed 2 of them. A quick call to the customer service line had two WICKED subs-300 watts RMS/continuous each-on my doorstep in 2 days.

I have never heard clearer bass...clear at ANY volume. I use these for 90% music/10% movies. If you like action movies, you will explode WITH the movie. Headbangers, you will be truly pleased with SVS. Very much worth the money, and 5 year warranty too.

Best Sealed Home Audio Subwoofer
After a long search for a good quality 12 inch sealed subwoofer, this is the best that I could find. Just needed extra bass to augment my 7.2 HT setup which I use a 12 inch ported sub from a famouns manufacturer. I decided on the sealed since I listen to music as well. The blu-ray movies are sounding way much better and I've been hearing subtle bass guitar adlibs that I've never heard. Don't expect this to sound as loud as your ported sub with the same wattage RMS since it won't be the same. Use corner walls as your friend. The price might be on the high end but you get what you pay for and it is (at least majority of it) Made in U.S.A. The 45 day return guarantee is another plus and could be the best warranty in the industry at 5 years.

I was coming off a 12year old Yamaha YST250 so take my review for what you will. I was looking for a compact, high WAF, sub that could replace that old unit. Man did I score with the SB1000! I listen to movies and music equally. This little guy packs a tremendous punch! It's in a living room dining room open concept thats about 24ft x 15ft wide, so not a small space. Setup with a rocketfish wireless transmitter it just sits in the corner with no wires visible. The low end absolutely crushes any expectation I had of a sub this size. I will eventually get a 2nd to envelope the room in that yummy goodness! It's complimenting my Polk Audio LS series in wall and ceiling speakers brilliantly. Powered by a Denon receiver.

Fine sub + great customer service
My SB-1000 arrived 2 days ago and I just put in my system. This modestly proportioned box works perfectly--exactly as described. I have it connected to my powered speakers via the RCA line-in/line-out, utilizing the high-pass crossover. Soon I'll put in an external crossover, but it sounds very good as is, deep & tight. I'm really impressed with this no-nonsense, affordable sub. And I'm amazed by SVS' customer service! From the moment I placed the order, their communication & follow-up have been outstanding.

solid smooth bass
I have a pair of AR-58s powered by a NuForce DDA-100 which I enjoy but I needed more low end. This setup is mostly for music but is also the sound system for watching movies. I researched subs online extensively and listened to some in local stores. This SB-1000 appeared to fit the bill. I ordered one and hooked it up with the high level inputs from the DDA. This sub is amazing. I am highly impressed by its range and clarity. I like the sealed design as it doesn't get too boomy. At this price point, this is a phenomenal subwoofer for both movies and music. The only thing I would like to see is a high level output with a high pass filter.

Break the house w/o breaking the bank
I previously owned a Klipsch R-8SW and lost it when a power surge hit the house. Would have never been shopping. I thought at the time it was a perfect fit for my system. Man was I wrong, after doing multiple weeks of research and review reading I purchased the SB-1000 and connected it to my Onkyo reciever. After re-calibrating the room to the new Sub, I was blown away by its delivery of the lowest of lows along with its sound pressure level it delivered a resounding thump when expected while also capturing the subtle mur-mur's during movie or TV watching, that I NEVER experienced with the Klipsch. Again, that's not discrediting the power that the other delivered, but you can tell that this is a solid unit with amazing delivery. I have since added a pair of Prime Satellites to the mix and raised the bar over the Cambridge soundworks satellites I previously owned. Very pleased with my decision and would and HAVE recommended to even the most novice of Audiophiles that are in the market to build or re-build there system to give SVS the green light on their Home Theater experience.

Was undecided bewteen the SB1000 vs SB2000
So I have a somewhat smaller room at ~17' x 25', but it is very open to a dining area and has a vaulted ceiling that is open to the upper level to the house. I am pairing the sub with my Artison Sketch speakers and am still in my "trial" period, but after a week of listening to the sub I don't think it will be going back. It has a lot more power and hits much deeper notes than my old sub. I have very minimal room for a sub and am replacing a Polk PSWi225 wireless sub. Going to the SB-1000 was a very nice upgrade. The old sub only a 100W amp and had no power for deep bass. The SB-1000 does not break a sweat at all when pushing with heavy bass and turning things way up.

I was really struggling on whether to get the SB-1000 vs the SB-2000, but thought I would first try the smaller one with the grill I liked better and make use of the SVS satisfaction policy. The quality build and look of this sub made me very happy from the start. The front grill has a nice tight fit and the whole sub is made very well. A number of people said they did not like the metal grill on the SB-2000 and I agree with them all. I went to a local store/dealer to look at the SB-2000 and thought the metal grill is uglier than sin and sticks too far out. I have small kids, so leaving the grill off is not an option.

Like I said, I am almost certain the new SB-1000 will not be going back. You simply cannot beat the SVS satisfaction policy and there is nothing better than testing a sub out in your own environment. I don't know how anyone could make a decision in a store.

The ultimate set-up ...
I have two 1000's set-up in a 7.2 configuration partnered with High End speakers. I initially started with one, but found that two really evened the sound experience across all spectrums of both movies and music. The warmth and depth they have brought to both genres has my friends making excuses for staying longer during viewings.

After reviewing options online and listening to other subs at local stores, I thought I would give SVS a go. Their no hassle 45 day trial gave me the confidence I was dealing with a good company.
Easy set up and after a little adjusting to my personal preferences, this compact sub delivered as advertised. Although I primarily listen to two channel music, I put a movie disc into player and was blown away by depth and ability to handle the sound track of the action packed movie.
Very pleased with the on time delivery and care taken with packing of product.
As far as appearance, hey it's a box, but the rounding of corners and quality finish make it look good.
I don't know how well the 45 day return works in that I found a keeper and won't need to use this option.
