The World's Most Versatile Home Theater Speaker

The world’s most versatile high performance home theater speakers, SVS's Prime Elevation Speakers deliver stunning performances as uncompromised, full-range height effects speakers and as a multi-purpose home theater speakers that solve countless room placement issues.

Exciting new surround sound formats such as Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and Auro 3D, known as “object-based surround sound”, unleash the ultimate immersive movie, music, and gaming experience by incorporating “height effects” emanating from overhead. The Prime Elevation Speakers are at an optimal height that radiates full-range sound to the listener without the frequency response limitations and perfect room conditions required of prevailing “ceiling bounce” height effects speaker designs.

Prime Elevation Speakers are also remarkably versatile, multi-purpose home theater speakers that deftly play the role of front, center, side surround, rear surround, and/or LCR speaker when ideal placement in a room isn’t possible.

SVS Takes Object-Based Surround Sound to New Heights

Home theaters running height channel speakers with Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and Auro-3D represent the pinnacle of immersive home audio experiences. The prevailing approach to height effects speakers, bouncing sound off the ceiling from below, requires perfect room conditions and frequency response limiting of the speaker, which detracts from the overall experience.

An audio epiphany, the Prime Elevation line is a direct radiating height effects speaker concept with the charged dynamics, pinpoint accuracy, and subtle refinement of a high-end bookshelf speaker. Place these speakers high on a wall near the ceiling, and object-based surround sound can be enjoyed at full fidelity in any room, without the compromises of ceiling bounce or in-ceiling speakers. Finally, you get to enjoy a height effects speaker designed for breath-taking effects.

Amazingly Adaptable; Solves Countless Speaker Placement Challenges

The specially optimized angled front baffle, precisely tuned acoustics, high-end components, and innovative multi-angle wall bracket all combine to make the Prime Elevation Speakers the world's most versatile home theater speakers. Ingeniously engineered to address a multitude of room challenges, the Prime Elevation series is the perfect solution for imperfect room placement options.

Innovative Multi-Angle Wall Bracket for Easy Mounting Software

Since Prime Elevation Speakers are often mounted on a wall, SVS invented a no-fuss Multi-Angle Wall Bracket for hanging them in any of four directions: up or down-firing, and side or rear-firing. The world’s most versatile speaker deserves an equally flexible mounting solution so you get the best sound quality in any room, no matter how or where you decide you use your Prime Elevation.

Excellent and clever design
I have Kef R series and have used the Q series for the atmos/DTS:X height, but much of the sound is lost due to the fact that the tweeters aren't angled towards the ear, so I decided to buy the Prime elevation speakers. These speakers are fortunately much smaller than the Q series I used, and of course they are angled. The ports are in the rear which sounded very odd when I first ran the adyssey mic setup, but the room correction software leveled the frequency section which made the prime elevation speakers completely match my kef r series, and I am happy to know that a lot of bass response is available when needed.

I had purchased my first towers speakers before I was aware of the SVS towers, otherwise I would have bought the SVS towers based upon how highly I regard the company and its business. I own/have owned many of the svs subwoofers (latest is the PB13-ultra) and I couldn't be happier. These speakers are highly recommended and I'd say the same for the other speakers even if I have yet to hear them.

Performance, flexibility, and value
I had demoed a set of these speakers in a friend's home theater configured as height speakers, which prompted me to almost immediately sell my upfiring Atmos-enabled Definitive A90s and order a pair of these as direct radiating height speakers for my own home. I'm lacking a bit currently since I'm only running a pair of them for now, but a second pair will DEFINITELY be ordered in the near future. The speakers arrived last night and there was no waiting for me to connect them.

Within minutes of getting home I had the box open and the speakers were connected to my front L/R where my Definitive BP9040s generally live. They sat on the floor and I aimed them at the listening position so I could test them, give them a little love, and to generally just make sure everything was on the up and up and was impressed by the quality of sound coming out of these considering the size, price, and "odd" form factor. My intention was to simply give them a quick test for a few minutes before I started drilling holes in my wall and I wound up putting them through a variety of music and movies and was really impressed by what I was hearing.

As two-channels speakers, they surprisingly(to me, at least) stood on their own. The slight angle on the front from the floor pretty much hit the perfect height for my listening position and provided a relatively wide sweet spot. The sound was natural and believable, and paired with a subwoofer, would provide a good 2.1 audio experience. I found they played music well(symphonic horns sounded natural, jazz cymbals were splashy and fun, and punk guitar sounded... like punk guitar...) the sound was great for some of the action scenes from my Deadpool UHD Blu-Ray, and my wife was impressed and continued to listen to them while I got up to start measuring and drilling.

I already know they're capable height channels from my previous experience at and my night was coming to a close, but I still gave them a listen without being able to calibrate them. They're very nice speakers and I can't wait to tune the system and REALLY appreciate them for the reason I purchased them.

The possible uses for the Elevations listed in the manual may initially seem like weird problems looking for solutions very few home theater spaces are perfect. The flexibility of these speakers and mounting positions could mean real solutions to people with odd needs, and overall I'm genuinely impressed with these speakers. I can't wait to get a second pair for front height.

My room is less than optimal for an Atmos setup, ceiling speakers are not an option. I never bought into the ceiling bounce speakers either since I have exposed concrete and ducts in my listening space. I immediately wanted to try these out as side height speakers and got 4 of them. The are incredible speakers, don't let the size fool you. I am now finally enjoying Atmos and DTS:X content!! Now i have to find time to watch all my movies that have Atmos again!

These speakers have elevated my sound system to another level. I already owned Onkyo atmos enabled speakers which I already thought were great, but I decided to try these on a trial basis. Needless to say I am not returning these SVS elevation speakers. The price was more than worth it.

I am no stranger to SVS, for I purchased their amazing PC-12 sub several years ago and am completely satisfied with its performance. I also want to give a shout-out to their exceptional service, for when the PC-12 arrived the amp was bad and they sent me a new one within 2 days with detailed instructions on how to replace it with the defective amp. I have also asked them a plethora of various questions and their expertise is second-to-none.

Ever since I heard of Dolby Atmos I wanted to buy a new AVR with 4K compatibility (to go along with my Sony 940D 75" 4K display) and the ability to play Dolby Atmos/DTS-X soundtracks. The problem was I did NOT want to install in-ceiling speakers in my room nor did I want to have "ceil-bounce" speakers. When I saw the Prime Elevation Speakers advertised in Sound & Vision magazine and read the reviews from owners on this site, I knew this was what I wanted. I received two pair 4 days ago and installed them on my side walls (see photo) and I couldn't be happier with the results. They truly add a 3-D sound to my modest Home Theater room. I ended up placing them 3-4 feet (up Front and in the Rear) from my listening area and it is a perfect "dome of sound." Congrats to the engineers at SVS for an amazing design!

SVS Prime Elevation Speakers - A Great Alternative To Ceiling Speakers for ATMOS and DTS:X
SVS have come up with a rather neat alternative to ceiling speakers. A non fussy-multi functional pair of PRIME Elevation speakers that recreates the ATMOS and DTS:X effects by upfiring the sound directly towards the listener. Easy to install, calibrated within minutes before you can experience the ATMOS in your home.

With the design that is independent of the ceiling reflection, this must be the easiest step up to ATMOS/DTS:X for any HT enthusiasts.

Excellent alternative to in ceiling for Atmos
I picked 2 sets of these up to give my audio setup a much needed upgrade in Atmos. I was previously using Atmos modules and while they weren't great they did provide a nice overhead effect for things such as rain, though everything else they were lacking which lead me to start searching for something I would wallmount high up. I looked at SuperSat's, Focal, etc. Though I kept coming back to SVS. The reviews were just too good and with the return policy it was a no brainier to at least give them a shot.

I'm very glad I did, I now have a full 7.1.4 set up. I personally found that the best placement for me is actually on the side walls, though do to my living room configuration I had to go front and back walls.

My suggestion to anyone looking at these for Atmos duty try side placement if you can before you commit to mounting.

The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because when mounted they have a little too much movement for my taste, meaning once you place them in the slot you have to work it a little bit to make sure the speaker is all the way in the amount.

Elevated speakers show poise when the bigger, badder, big brothers like the 10-12 woofers bring it on. Plain and simple, you’re better off hearing them out for yourselves. I have 3 pairs and I plan to get 2 more. They’re just that good!

No surprises from a great company
I haven't done reviews for the other SVS products I own (PC-12 Plus, Ultra Towers, Ultra Center), but I wanted to start with my newest addition, the SVS Prime Elevation. There aren't many reviews on this and it's important word get out.

My research and ownership of an audio system only spans 3 years. My first system was a very modest setup from a very well known audio company which I thought was expensive at $1,000 total for ALL my components and speaker wires, etc. Without going into too much detail, I now find myself having purchased a pair of elevation speakers for almost half the price of my whole original system and I don't regret anything.

A friend of mine introduced me to SVS speakers when I was at his house on day. His setup is amazing and still better than my setup; albeit, with many more years and much, much more money invested than me. He was anxious to hear my impressions of these speakers. Unfortunately, he hasn't heard these elevations or the towers yet. I can't wait until he does because I can almost guarantee he is going to order at least one pair before he leaves my house.

Why? These things put out so much great sound. I imagined my friend's setup with these as his surrounds and there is no doubt in my head that his setup would improve incredibly. We have both watched together the same scenes in the same movies every time I am at his place to hear a new part of his setup. I have listened to the same scenes at my own house and these definitely kill his speakers.

I'm using these as rear sides at the moment. I've got them setup on stands in less than ideal location until I can get some time to attempt to wall mount these and run speaker wire through the walls to give them the sleek look they deserve. I bought these in white so that they would blend in better with the wall and ceilings. In case I end up buying more of these I didn't want the walls looking like they were all speakers. These look amazing in the same glossy finish as the ultra towers but in a great looking white. The covers look great, but I like them even better without the covers. Getting them mounted will look great and I'm confident they will sound even better than they already do.

The things I've noticed most over my older, ~$80/speaker surround speakers designed by a guy who shares a name with a famous baseball player.

Background music is much more noticeable in a very good way. During dramatic scenes when the violins come in and the director wants you to choke up...let's just say I got something in my eye.
Rain sounds so real it's unreal. I'm not sure how or why, but any scene with rain sounds like I'm outside in the rain.
Sounds are less directional with these. With my old ones, when I would hear them, I would sometimes look right at where my spears were sitting. I've yet to look at these speakers but to admire them.
Background sounds in movies sound much more realistic. A dog barking in a movie sounds just like I'm back in Mexico.

I really don't have enough of an audiophile background at this point to go into detail about the mids, highs, and lows. I know how great my friend's setup sounds and I know how much he paid for all his stuff. I think these can and WILL boost his setup to enough that it could merit a symbolic "Next level" to his sound. Getting these wall mounted against my ceiling is going to be amazing. I already have plans in my head to get 2 more pairs.
