The world’s most versatile high performance home theater speakers, SVS's Prime Elevation Speakers deliver stunning performances as uncompromised, full-range height effects speakers and as a multi-purpose home theater speakers that solve countless room placement issues.
Exciting new surround sound formats such as Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and Auro 3D, known as “object-based surround sound”, unleash the ultimate immersive movie, music, and gaming experience by incorporating “height effects” emanating from overhead. The Prime Elevation Speakers are at an optimal height that radiates full-range sound to the listener without the frequency response limitations and perfect room conditions required of prevailing “ceiling bounce” height effects speaker designs.
Prime Elevation Speakers are also remarkably versatile, multi-purpose home theater speakers that deftly play the role of front, center, side surround, rear surround, and/or LCR speaker when ideal placement in a room isn’t possible.
SVS Takes Object-Based Surround Sound to New Heights
Home theaters running height channel speakers with Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and Auro-3D represent the pinnacle of immersive home audio experiences. The prevailing approach to height effects speakers, bouncing sound off the ceiling from below, requires perfect room conditions and frequency response limiting of the speaker, which detracts from the overall experience.
An audio epiphany, the Prime Elevation line is a direct radiating height effects speaker concept with the charged dynamics, pinpoint accuracy, and subtle refinement of a high-end bookshelf speaker. Place these speakers high on a wall near the ceiling, and object-based surround sound can be enjoyed at full fidelity in any room, without the compromises of ceiling bounce or in-ceiling speakers. Finally, you get to enjoy a height effects speaker designed for breath-taking effects.
The specially optimized angled front baffle, precisely tuned acoustics, high-end components, and innovative multi-angle wall bracket all combine to make the Prime Elevation Speakers the world's most versatile home theater speakers. Ingeniously engineered to address a multitude of room challenges, the Prime Elevation series is the perfect solution for imperfect room placement options.
Innovative Multi-Angle Wall Bracket for Easy Mounting Software
Since Prime Elevation Speakers are often mounted on a wall, SVS invented a no-fuss Multi-Angle Wall Bracket for hanging them in any of four directions: up or down-firing, and side or rear-firing. The world’s most versatile speaker deserves an equally flexible mounting solution so you get the best sound quality in any room, no matter how or where you decide you use your Prime Elevation.

This is my second pair of Svs prime elevation speakers, and I am very satisfied with their proformance and flexibility. I also want to give a shout out to svs customer service, for helping me resolve a problem not related to their product, but with my system wiring.
Finished out my SVS system by replacing my rear speakers with the prime elevation speakers. They work very well for that and give me rear SVS speakers to go along with the ultra system I had purchased and 2 PB 2000 pro subs. They match nicely with the rest of the SVS system. Very happy with all of it.
I have 6 Prime Elevations for height channels in my living room. The sound is fantastic. They are easy to mount with bracket that comes with the speakers. I have the gloss white Elevations, and they blend in well with the ceiling and walls. The Elevations are crystal clear, and have a great range. I highly recommend these speakers.
Wanted to improve my move from 7.1 to 5.1.2 (4K Atmos generated need). Had some rear speakers I elevated to about 18" above ears, but felt there were better options. Looked at in ceiling, replacing my Definitive front towers with up-firing ones and the Elevations. Online reviews were uniformly positive and with the 45 day "try" option, I figured this was an easier solution. Sound quality from these speakers were much better than the rears I replaced (Polk TL2). Did a temp solution to test them out, was reasonably impressed. Then finally mounted them near the top of my 7'ceiling, above the front towers, the results were great. I know 5.1.4 would likely be more impressive, but I'm limited to the 7 main speakers with my AVR and no desire to replace that in the near term. I'm very happy and can agree with everything I saw on Youtube and read on various forums. Good Job SVS!
Beautiful speakers with the piano finish. Perfect size for my room. I mounted them as front height speakers. Put in my Bladerunner 2049 4K Blu-ray and the sound was wonderful. Great movie to test my new speakers and they did not disappoint
The SVS Prime Elevation/Presence speakers are very good small speakers on their own, but they shine as addition to to a multichannel system as presence speakers. My ultimate goal is to incorporate them for Dolby Atmos and DTS-X add-ons. I don't have a Atmos or DTS-X processor right now, so I am using them as presence with my Yamaha processor. I also liked the mounting bracket and the versatile installation and mounting options with this speaker. In addition to my two SVS subwoofers, these little speakers are another welcome addition to my system. Thank you Gary Yakoubian and the rest of the SVS technicians and staff. Sami Erdogan
I replaced my old bookshelf speakers with the elevation speakers and oh boy am I happy with the new speakers they fit so well with my setup. I'm getting EPIC sound that really shows when I play dolby atmos movies. I LOVE these speakers!
Great speakers at a great price with standard awesome SVS quality, amazing!
The Prime Elevations are capable, small, amazing little speakers. Their stereo imaging is superb, whether I used them as a stereo pair or in a 5.1 with a center, the sound stage was nearly identical. Their off axis is uncolored, I heard no difference right on top of them near field or further back, even behind them still gave clear results. The ports help beef up the low end without bloating, obviously, you'll need a sub for full dynamic range. Testing them as front speakers currently as my towers are in storage, but they sound almost as good as them as far as clarity, detail, and imaging, just not as full in the mid range and low end, of course. I almost feel bad relegating these to height speakers in my Atmos setup when I install them as such, almost too capable for that. They are all I'll ever need from ceiling speakers without having to worry about cutting holes or getting boxes to contain sound, or getting ones that you can angle, all already taken care of. The experience started with the unboxing though, the level of care SVS took, wrapping everything, covering screws and silica packers in soft foam so they don't scratch anything...just top notch packaging. You can tell they care, in everything they do. It's part of what you are paying for, not to mention the freakishly fast ,helpful technical support. After getting my elevations, and a week later a PB 3000 sub, this is a company I want to support, and I'll be back when I want to upgrade/replace my towers, center and surrounds. And probably get another couple of subs. Not a review of the PB 3000, but all I'll say for now is, DAMN. It packs a lot of punch for it's price bracket.
This is my second set of prime elevations in gloss white. I’m using them for my surround rear and atmos height channels in my home theater. Firstly, these speakers are gorgeous. The fit and finish is perfect and the excellent build quality is apparent. They sound phenomenal. I have another brand that didn’t even come close as far as the sound quality. They’re clearer, the bass is punchier, mids and highs are much crisper. The customer support is excellent as well, I’ve contacted SVS twice, once about an order and another time about an accessory and both times they helped me and were a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend these speakers and SVS.
The Prime Elevations truly rock! I will be purchasing 2 more when my stimulus payment arrives, along with a Voice of God top speaker to complete my Auro-3D 10.1 setup. I'm saving up for the Prime towers & center channel.
I just finished installing you PEs yesterday. Was waiting for a set of speakers stands that can go on top of my fronts to bring them higher w/o opening holes on the walls, run cables inside, etc. I recalibrated the system, used yours as two front heights and mine as two back Dolby's. After calibration, Marantz SR8012 11.2 channels with an MM2025 with 2 more channels 13.2. I maxed the Heights and the Dolby's to +12 dB and the surrounds I increased to +6 dBs. The end result is upstanding, especially when I hear the sound from your Prime Elevations. I recalibrated to keep note of the results and compared to my manual set up. Between 30 - 50 dB vol., I can hear every sound effect, whereas with calibration settings the vol. to hear details needs to be at least 60dB. I like the manual settings much better. I am sold on your Prime Elevations, gre8 style and excellent workmanship, awesome sound!!!
I'm a SVS subwoofer owner and fan and I will recommend those all day every day... My first experience with loudspeakers was just ok.
Prime Elevations in White - Finish - These are very well made and look great. The design is very good. Sound quality - Average at best. Highs and mids were too laid back and (not that I was expecting much) there is little bass to speak of. Disappointing for a $500 pair. Mounting - The mounting process is very simple and there are a variety of positions to suit most scenarios. Having said that, in both houses I've built with pre-wiring for discrete channels, the builders spooled the wire inside a standard gang box (switch / 2 outlet size). This mounting hardware affords no way to completely conceal the box. It's not big enough to straddle it and the mounting bracket is in a position that doesn't allow the speak to overhang it. Not a massive deal, but it does look messy, having the gang box cover sticking out from under it.
Summary - These are very easy to mount and fill the duty of a channel like height adequately. I would never use them for a front or primary surround channel due to sound quality.
I am new to Dolby atmos and I was recommended to svs by a friend and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. I have 6 prime satellites a prime center channel and a pair of the elevation heights and a sb1000 but will soon be adding more I’m sure. Also I am running everything with a merantz sr8015 my setup is small but it sound incredibly compared to my last setup witch was a Samsung HW q90 sound bar. I would recommend svs to anyone that is looking for a great sounding setup and the subs are amazing. A+++
These speakers are amazing I have 4 of them mounted on the ceiling aimed at my mlp. Movies really come alive with the atmos effects these speakers can produce I would definitely recommend them to anyone for atmos.
After using my Atmos upfiring speakers for several years, I thought that the technology was no big deal and just a waste of money because I was not impressed at all. After a little research, I decided to give the technology another chance and purchased the SVS Prime Elevation speakers and what a difference! I finally know what Atmos home theater is supposed to sound like! I watched the Matrix and the thunder and rain along with many other scenes were absolutely enveloping me in a bubble of sound. If you don't have quality speakers like the Prime Elevations firing down, you will definitely not get the Atmos effect and miss out on an awesome home theater experience.
Bought for my living room. Had to wait a while due COVID shipping delays. But grateful for the communication svs was sending out to let me know where things were. Couldn’t be helped. Just good heads up and was really appreciated. When installed, got the wife’s seal of approval! They do look great. Sounds effects are clear and fun. Highly recommend. Great with music and movies. Came with all good hardware and great templates too... Only bought 2 should of bought 4. I did a lot of research and there is a lot of legit hype out there for these and now that I have mine... agree. Great product.
I swapped the SVS satellite as a center channel, with a Prime Elevation above the TV firing down, in a 3.1 system paired with Jamo's smallest sub (in an apartment). Pretty incredible. I have two more SVS satellites that I'm trying to find the best spot for on the side or rears. Hopefully, SVS engineers will find a solution for apartment/condo dwellers when it comes to bass and neighbors. I have the Jamo sitting on a Pyle floor pad. I would be first in line for a SB-500 or a couple SB-250s, with a neat mount, base, etc. for this problem. A ceiling, hanging bass module? Thanks again.
These are some great speakers, I’ve purchased 4. I have installed in two sets in two different rooms. One set as the front height speakers in a 7.1.2 system. The others as stereo speakers, on a wall with a tv located approximately 10ft off the ground. Both are great and have added superb sound to the system in different ways. The stereo setup has allowed listeners to hear a much cleaner/clearer sound than the Yamaha sound bar that was there prior. Dialogue along with music is clean and easily understood with far more enjoyment. The multichannel setup allows for an overhead effect that wasn’t available prior (even though they are mounted on the front sound stage wall which isn’t the most ideal placement). The multi channel setup utilizes ultra bookshelf’s, ultra center, ultra surrounds, energy eXL bookshelf as rear surround and SB-13 ultra, Pioneer Elite SC-95 . I would recommend these speakers highly to anyone considering them as a contender in their setup.
After reading all the reviews on this speaker I just had to try them to complete my 5.2.4 system and I can say they have not disappointed me. I will be getting two more to upgrade to a 7.2.4 system. Love them.
The elevation speakers are ALL that they are advertised to be. I was using some older speakers for my Atmos speakers and I wasn't satisfied that they were performing that well. I purchased the SVS Elevations and there was a night and day difference. A VERY satisfied Customer.
I love these speakers, i feel it was a great add to my setup. I am re-watching movies with atmos tracks to try and experience the differnce. Solid template for mounting the speakers and flexible options based on your needs.
Perfect for Atmos height channels, with a few minor caveats.
Having recently updated my 15+ year old Polk setup with Prime Towers, Center and Satellites at the bed level, I purchased 4 of the Elevations to install on the ceiling to replace my Pioneer upfiring Atmos speakers in a 7.1.4 config.
Pros: 1. Installation on the ceiling was incredibly easy with the provided brackets and the rubber block to lock the speakers into the ceiling brackets is a very nice (and simple) piece of engineering. 2. The sound perfectly matches the other speakers in the Prime series, giving me a cohesive dome of sound in my room. Outstanding placement of sounds both above the listener and imaged between the height and bed layers. Cross-channel imaging between every speaker is very precise! 3. Build quality is solid, and I really like the look of these speakers on my ceiling.
Cons: 1. The center of gravity when hanging on the ceiling brackets causes the speaker to settle back toward the heavier bottom side of the speaker. With any of the wall mounting options, this wouldn't be a problem, but with ceiling mounting I feel like a soft layer of padding between the two brackets (maybe an optional compressible gasket?) would make that connection more solid. As it is, there is a bit too much play between the bracket and the mount on the speaker. 2. Specs aside, Audyssey tries to cross my front pair at 80Hz and my rear pair at 100Hz, even with the angles in my room being almost perfect per Dolby guidelines and best mic practices in use. When you look at the measured in-room response, it's clear that these speakers could have used just a hair more low-end reproduction to better hit that 80Hz sweet spot. Given how narrow the cabinets are, I think making the speaker a little wider could have given them the cabinet volume needed to get response more consistently down below 80Hz in most rooms with this small a driver. That said, even when crossed over at 100Hz, they sound vastly better than the Pioneer upfirers or my Polk in-ceilings did at my old house. The spec'd -3dB response of 55Hz is a little optimistic, and in-room response plummets like a stone below 80Hz, leaving little room for an 80Hz crossover to transition smoothly across its range. 3. Given how most will use this, it would have been nice for the binding posts to be a little more recessed into the cabinet or better angled to accommodate banana plugs. The worst part of my on-ceiling install was having to try to hold the speaker while I wired it up to place it in the bracket, and this would have been made far easier if more room had been allowed for most standard banana plugs. Not a deal breaker, because once it's up, it's up.
All that said, these are fantastic speakers for the price and I have thoroughly enjoyed watching movies with these in place. They're perfect when paired with the other speakers in the Prime series, and would very likely play nicely with speakers from other brands.
Just installed my Prime Elevation speakers and I must say that Im totally blown away with the sound quality! I didn't realize how much information I was missing in my Atmos movies until I listened to these Speakers. I can finally enjoy Dolby Atmos in my 5.1.4 Dolby Atmos Theater now. Thank You SVS for another great product!
The Prime Elevation is without question the most phenomenal height speakers I have ever used and I've tried a bunch. They are incredibly well built as is every product from SVS and the sound is just as robust. You can hear every nuance in the source material and yet it sounds very natural. Many times my wife and I have looked at each other during a movie and said what's that sound and of course it was part of the movie sound track. The mounting system is extremely easy to install and provides great support for these heavy weight speakers. As always you can't go wrong with SVS products and the Prime Elevation is no exception.
I replaced my Martin Logan Motion 4's up top with the Prime Elevations. The difference is very noticeable. I have not re-run the room correction software from my Denon X4500 yet (will do it after moving the furniture back in place after taking down the Christmas tree) and the sound is better and more full. Listening on my Apple TV with Dolby Atmos content is so enveloping. I highly recommend these!
I'm glad to go with my new set up 7.2.4 these little Prime Elevation is great! I can hear sound like never before! What a great improvement to the home theater system and more 4K movies are coming out with the Atmos set up!
I'm not one for writing reviews but when I got the email from the president of SVS l figure what the heck. I have 3 pairs of the prime Elevation. I have a 7.2.6 setup. I had just received a new receiver the x6700h denon so why not max it out. It took awhile to receive my prime Elevation because of back order and container issues from China but they finally arrived. You cannot go wrong with these speakers. I bought the pb4000 subwoofer which I haven't had a chance to chank up because of the wife ( she got to leave the house sometime). I have the prime Pinnacle tower speakers the ultra center speaker and 2 ultra surrounds on the way, can't wait. Been watching a lot of YouTube videos especially that home theater dude (chris)he is well informed about the line of svs speakers. I'm using these speakers as height speakers, placement of the others will accordingly. I believe this is my solution to a small room. YOU CAN'T GO WRONG WITH SVS SPEAKERS
