Big Bang!!
I'm more of a movie guy and this sub outperformed my other sub that i use to own. The bass, fills my room
with layered, clean-bass quality and the lfe goes down very deep.. Very satisfied with my SVS purchase.

I absolutely love this sub!! Recently upgraded to this sub and did not expect this much from this 10" but holy cow! On top of it all, SVS customer service was amazing, no issues and answered all of my questions and also helped me set up some adjustments once I received it. I can't get enough of this sub , hopefully in the future they can make the front grill cover like on the PB-2000 ;)

Worth every penny.
Let me start off by saying this sub is nothing short of astounding. Having useable output down to 20hz is a breath of fresh air. I've used klipsch and velodyne subs for years but they couldn't go this deep with so little effort. Once I dialed in with REW and eq'd the pb-1000 to the room, wow!!! I have had a huge increase in tactile response. So much so that the doors resonate at 25hz and below.

To top if off, when I opened the packaging, the first thing I saw was a letter from the company president on welcoming me to the SVS family and thanking me for purchasing their product. Out of all the AV equipment I've purchased over the years that was a first. A company that builds a great product and stands behind it.
Top notch.

WOW!!
I've been saving up to buy these subs and it was well worth the wait. In a word - WOW!! I've seen these subs labeled small and I don't know why, unless someone is downsizing from a sub the size of a fridge to these. I originally bought the PC2000's and I thought my wife was going to divorce me as they were so big in my room. They looked like cylindrical monoliths, a la 2001 Space Odyssey. While I'm still tweaking them I do have some initial observations - as a card carrying audiophile of over 50 years. I've owned many many subs over the years, to include ones that cost over 10X the amount of these subs. I don't know how SVS is able to pull this off, but of all the subs I've ever had, these are among the best of the best and for 2 particular reasons - authority and honesty. i have a standard set of BD movies for sound demos. One of the 2 best are San Andreas and Knowing, and a bunch of DTS-MA demos. My wife always complained about how loud I played movies so I was interested in finding out, played out at same sound level, if she was going to complain about the sound now. Oddly enough, and to my great delight, nary a peep from her. Aside from all the superlatives I can bestow on these subs the easiest thing to say is that they are transparent and truthfully defining. They are also deafening when pushed, with no distortion, and brutal when pushed. One of their main characteristics is that they faithfully produce whatever the soundtrack (source) calls for and there are some pitiful movie and music soundtracks out there and these subs highlight, to a fault, how badly some sound design can be. By no means no fault of the subs (duals), they are just passing on the source material. And to think, I haven't even tweaked my room yet. At this price, and if you've not experienced dual subs before, treat yourself to a pair of these. They are astonishing and mesmerizing.

Sofa King Amazing
I bought this sub to accompany my prime satellites. I am amazed at the poise and grace at which this sub delivers. I can watch regular television shows and not be blown away with unnecessary bass assaulting me. But if I listen to say, some DnB from some of my favorites, it knows exactly how to deliver it to me. I am blown away by the clarity, depth, and sheer magnitude that this sub delivers. I'm not gonna get all fancy with terms and numbers. What I will say is. This subwoofer is worth every penny and it sounds unbelievable.

The best Sub's I have ever own
I like to think of myself as a audiophile when my budget allows it. I'v never ran duel subs before I got the PB 1000's and it made me wish I did it years ago.
I went from the Bic America F-12 to SVS. I never knew what good LFE sounded like. The 1000's produce sweet low LFE without sounding "muddy" or "boomy", just clean bass.
I watched "The Arrival " and the hellecoptor part on the way to the ship sounds amazing . For my space 12X24 the duel PB1000's fill the bill nicely .
I'm glad SVS has a great return and upgrade policy.

Had High Expectations - All Were Surpassed
After saving and researching for many months, I narrowed my decision to the SVS PB-1000 or one from another manufacturer. I was still undecided, but when an outlet special became available (Twitter allowed me to act quickly), I couldn't pass-up the opportunity. Even a non-outlet PB-1000's MSRP is less what was my alternate choice, but I told myself to temper my expectations a bit and appreciate the money I saved. Now....all of that set up leads me to two points:
1) The scratch that saved me quite a few dollars is insignificant and that makes me so very happy. The subwoofer is a handsome addition to my modest home theater.
2) WOW! BASS! WOW! I replaced my 12 year old 30 watt 6.5" sub with the PB-100 and just O-M-G! I am a movie buff and immediately the PB-1000 made its presence known when I played the first flick. The very best thing about the sound is that it is only loud when it needs to be, unlike my old car stereo systems where any music had insanely loud low-end. For example, the 'we're throwing a party tonight' scene in "Trolls"....the bass in the song is just perfect and balanced, but when the fireworks go off overhead---BOOOOOM---and you can absolutely FEEL it. I am just in bass heaven over here and have become a SVS fan for life. One last note....when watching the nighttime train/MUTO scene in "Godzilla", be sure to secure any wall-mounted home decor because, well...they don't stand a chance.

Great for a small to medium size room. Lacks authority in bigger rooms.
I currently own a BIC PL-200, Bowers & Wilkins ASW600 and now the PB-1000 that I purchased from the outlet section of SVS. My room is 12x45x7 (3800 cubic feet). The reason for buying the PB-1000 was because I was looking for a sub with a more flat response as well as one that digs deeper. I compared the three subs side by side with different movies and sound clips from youtube. I didn't have any equipment that measures the sound. All of my comparisons and opinions are purely based on what my ears heard. Out of the three subs, the BIC PL-200 had the most output (could play the loudest). I was a little disappointed that the SVS could not play as loud as the BIC while having a very similar amplifier power rating. I like to play my subwoofers at high volume levels and found that I needed to turn the gain of the SVS to 75% and "+/-0" on the receiver to get the desired volume level and 100% if I was playing rap or bass heavy music. I must say that the PB-1000 never got hot to the touch whereas my BIC PL-200 got hot on the back during my testing. The PB-1000 did in fact dig deeper with more authority, sounded a little flatter and was a little tighter than the BIC. Overall I was impressed with the sound quality of the SVS but was left with wanting more output and authority. I suspect that my room is too big for this sub to really shine. I will be returning this sub after my used SVS PC-2000 ($600) comes in and I can do some comparisons between them.
PS: the Bowers & Wilkins sub didn't do as well as either of the other two subs in any category.

Fabulous Service Experience
Great ordering experience. Despite the fact that I received the wrong sub-woofer and it didn't work for my application at all, the customer service team was prompt, responsive and helpful. The system was returned in no time, quite simply, and with minimal effort on my part.
