In with the new, but keep your old
Crazy how with this device I can now hear my music & not worry about interruptions like phone notifications to include an incoming call. Music continues to play. I love it!

Keep your old equipment (in my case Yamaha receiver) & simply hook up your sonos into it under an auxiliary input or any other available channel. Change your output to that channel & poof…You're good to go!

Good bridge for wired and wireless, but sound cuts
integrates my Sonos Move and Airplay music to my wired non-Sonos system. It works, but sound cuts out sometimes. Airplay usually works. Streaming from the wired system (tv) to the Sonos Move is poor; streaming cuts regularly. It sounds like the buffering is not replenished quick enough even though my wifi is new and fast. Expensive.

Great entry level streaming device
This product is my intro to streaming device and is apart of my two channel system. This was the main selling feature. It is at a good price point, and easy to configure/install especially if you already have a Sonos network. If it were Hi res I could just stay here forever but at some point I will upgrade to one of the high end options.

Better network connectivity then BlueSound
Sonos Port keeps its network connection unlike BlueSound Node which consistently loses its network connection, and I must reboot the BlueSound and router. Thank you, Sonos, for the good network work you put into the Port.

Get some help
Took the Geek Squad almost 6 hours over 2 days to get the port to play Sirius and Apple Music over my whole house system. Calls - deep dives to Sonos Customer Support. I never would have had the patience to attempt the installation. Now that it is working properly, I love the unit.

The Port is awesome for streaming. Great sound.
I bought the Sonos Port to stream music through a full house HTD music system I just installed to replace an old Nuvo Grand Concerto system. It was very easy to set up (I have a basic skill level) and I now have full streaming capability with Alexa control, which I primarily use with Spotify (all day). The sound is awesome. I had to dial the volume output setting on the Port down to 80% because I couldn't set the volume low enough in some rooms without doing so. It has plenty of volume... more than an Echo device I use as another source input that I have to run at Max volume. It still sounds good too though. Love the HTD system.

Improve your instructions on line. need help to set up.
A great product with very poor instructions. We are not all computer literate. You won't need as much staff to address questions if you anticipate that.

I have other sonos devices and they work great so I wanted to add sonos to my home theater system without adding sonos speakers everywhere. This is a great option to add sonos to an existing system.

Can we use Sonos port streaming with Sonos 5?
A shopper on Jan 30, 2021
Thanks for your inquiry. The Sonos Five provides access to streaming services via your home wifi network and the Sonos App. on your smart device and interfaces with other Sonos speakers in you home. The Sonos Port Streaming Component does the same streaming functions plus it includes analog outputs for connection to an existing stereo or home theater system in your home.
Does the Sonos Port Streaming Component for Stereo or Receiver replace the Sonos Bridge?
A shopper on Jul 7, 2020
Thanks for your question. The Sonos Bridge (formerly known as the ZoneBridge or ZoneBridge BR100) is a wireless bridge that works with all Sonos audio products. ... Simply connect a Bridge to your router using a standard Ethernet cable and then you can add additional Sonos components to your music system wirelessly.
Are there any built in apps for music streaming sites such as TIDAL, Qobuz, Spotify, Pandora etc.?
A shopper on Jan 3, 2020
Thanks for your question. Sonos includes a long list of music services that are accessible using the Sonos app.
