I stream from an Ethernet switch directly to a high end DAC using the Sonos Port bypass setting. The number of music sources are around 91!!!! Software is extremely easy to use via the Sonos app!

My old analog lives!
I've been thrilled with my system (Arc, a pair of Ones, Sub & Move). It isn't cheap but neither is quality. The sound quality exceeded my expectations as well as the ease of operation. Now with the port, I've connected my old Sony receiver, cd player and cassette deck and can play my old audio though the kick-a$$ Sonos system! Win-Win!

I did buy a second unit for a different system.
2 pre-existing non-Sonos systems. Used Connect units to stream. One eventually failed after many years, replaced it with the new Port. Couldn't believe the sonic improvements from the new DAC and other electronics. Bought second Port for other system.

This is a very useful audio product.
Would be beneficial if the Sonos App enable a 'song search' option when listening to a Sonos Playlist or Queue via a Sonos Port.

Incredible Product
We design sound masking systems which include background music in client/patient corridors. The Sonos Port was integrated into our SM system to provide a BG music source. The Port has now become our go to for all our newly designed SM systems.

I have other sonos devices and they work great so I wanted to add sonos to my home theater system without adding sonos speakers everywhere. This is a great option to add sonos to an existing system.

Can we use Sonos port streaming with Sonos 5?
A shopper on Jan 30, 2021
Thanks for your inquiry. The Sonos Five provides access to streaming services via your home wifi network and the Sonos App. on your smart device and interfaces with other Sonos speakers in you home. The Sonos Port Streaming Component does the same streaming functions plus it includes analog outputs for connection to an existing stereo or home theater system in your home.
Does the Sonos Port Streaming Component for Stereo or Receiver replace the Sonos Bridge?
A shopper on Jul 7, 2020
Thanks for your question. The Sonos Bridge (formerly known as the ZoneBridge or ZoneBridge BR100) is a wireless bridge that works with all Sonos audio products. ... Simply connect a Bridge to your router using a standard Ethernet cable and then you can add additional Sonos components to your music system wirelessly.
Are there any built in apps for music streaming sites such as TIDAL, Qobuz, Spotify, Pandora etc.?
A shopper on Jan 3, 2020
Thanks for your question. Sonos includes a long list of music services that are accessible using the Sonos app.
