Q Acoustics 3050 2-Way Floorstanding Speaker - Each (Graphite)

They're frickin awesome speakers, high quality, well built, great sound at and affordable price, like every professional non bias review I read about them.

I bought these after extensive research and reviewing several brands via website, YouTube and audio specialty sites such as World Wide Stereo. I have a modest all-British system (Cambridge Audio AXA35 integrated amp, AXC CD player, DACmagic 200M DAC and Solo phono preamp) and wanted to stick with a British speaker to complement the sound that I enjoyed. I almost bought some Wharfedale Diamonds until I came across these speakers on a Cyber Monday deal. I liked the modern look and rounded corners that were opposite the Diamond's boxy look. I knew they were not made anymore being replaced by the 3050i model, and researched the differences. That model is highly recommended, as was this one in the day, and they look identical other than the "Q" being placed in a different location. I pulled the trigger due to the great value of this model and it being a British company and I'm very happy with my purchase. I didn't break the bank on my modest system and it sounds really great. The bass is so surprising that I may not add a subwoofer now, which was my original intention. The highs are very clear, and the midrange on vocals and instruments is focused and luscious. I did ditch the jumper plates and added 8 gauge jumper cables and that improved the sound even more. The speakers are very large - the pictures don't really show how large they are when they are delivered, so make sure you have enough room for them. I have them towed-in a little and about 10 inches from the back wall and that seems to be just right for my listening room. You could spend more for the 3050i, but I'm happy that I went with these.
