Reviews
Customer Reviews for NAD Electronics D 3045 HybridDigital DAC Amplifier
It sounds good, and that's the main point. There's connectivity for everything I need, which is great. Unfortunately the optical digital inputs click and pop all the time, so I can't use those.
Instead I have to use an external DAC to bypass the toslink input and use another line-in connection. This really undermines the reason I bought this, which was to declutter and eliminate extra adapters.
The case and the display aren't pretty, but they do their job. They just fall a bit short of the standard set by the electronics. That feels like a cost-down to bring quality to a cheaper market -- so I guess I should be thankful!
I'm also a bit disappointed that I can't configure the sub-out to act as a line-out which bypasses the volume control. Some amps have that switchable, and I'd hoped that I might be able to find a setting in the manual but no such luck.

- HMDI ARC input (great feature that should be seen more often, nice for integrating with a smart TV, where I stream a lot of music from anyway)
- Bass management (40, 80, 120 Hz high pass filters). I'm using smaller bookshelves with no sub at the moment and this is much appreciated
- aptX Bluetooth in transmit mode! It's cool to send audio to my outdoor aptX capable BT receiver and power amp.
Thanks WWS!
