Product Information

Spun Copper Front-Firing Cerametallic Woofers

Cerametallic woofers are exceptionally light and extremely rigid, providing remarkable low frequency response with minimal cone breakup and distortion for higher, cleaner output using less amplifier power.

High Efficiency Class D Amplifier

The built-in, high efficiency amplifier features an analog preamp design, which maintains the original signal path for cleaner, true-to-source reproduction. The Class D output stage ensures maximum efficiency for maximum output, detail, and low frequency power.

Front-Firing Slot Port with Exclusive Internal Flare Technology

Proprietary internal geometry that minimizes port noise for clean undistorted low frequencies. The front-firing design allows for placement flexibility.

WA-2 Wireless Subwoofer Kit Capable

The Klipsch WA-2 wireless subwoofer kit (sold separately) allows high resolution wireless connectivity for easy placement anywhere in your room and optimizes output and low frequency response. Connect up to four WA-2 wireless kits to compatible Klipsch subwoofers in a single room for a completely wireless connection.

Flexible Controls

Low Pass Crossover and Variable Phase control allows you to tune the subwoofer to your Klipsch speakers and to your room, establishing the ideal level of bass. Line Leve/LFE RCA inputs ensure compatibility with home theater receivers.

Use Inputs Simultaneously

Both the RCA and wireless inputs can be utilized, giving you the ability to use a single subwoofer with multiple systems in the same room. For example, you can use the wireless input for your home theater setup and the RCA input for your 2-channel system, without needing to switch inputs when changing between systems.

1/2-Watt Standby Mode

Exceptional efficiency on or off. Meets global efficiency standards - reducing energy costs for the user.

Ultra-Durable Ebony Finish

Scratch-resistant ebony finish looks like real wood and covers the entire cabinet.

Detailed Design

Shock-absorbing rubber feet, steel grille posts, and a woven cloth grille give the SPL subwoofers a premium look and feel.

Wonderful investment into music
I have been wanting to buy this sub for a long time. I just wish I did it long ago. Even just TV shows let you hear it, It moves the floor. I have it hidden behind the couch and can clearly hear it. Even outside our house. Our neighbor's who live behind us hear it too. LOL

You will be happy
The subwoofer does rock, I use one for the basement area of 26 ft x 48 ft. Plenty of bass at only half volume

Spl- 150
This subwoofer really adds quite a lot to the dynamic range of music. Electronic music makes this subwoofer shine. Here are Artists and albums that I have listened to for a long time which are hugely improved by the SP- 150. Pink Floyd all especially Dark Side of the Moon & Meddle, Kraftwerk Electric Café, Enya Watermark & The Memory of Trees, and Tangerine Dream Ricochet & Extracts From Poland- The Warsaw concert. Flim & the BB's Tricycle & Big notes.

i have 7- 820f towers connected to a onkyo tx-rz820 av pushing signal through a monolith 7 ch- 200 wpc rms- 7 ch driven amp. I am unhappy with my sub. Its a 10 in 400 w klipsch with internal power. what should i get that can match what i have at high levels. I want something that will easily compete with my towers when they are being ran at high decimal levels. Considering a internal amp 15 in. klipsch, but the watts level seems really low for the force with which i run my system. any ideas?
A shopper on Sep 11, 2020
Thanks for your inquiry and description of your system. I understand how a single 10 sub can sound lost when your system is playing at higher volumes. The SPL-150SW would be a very noticeable upgrade and improvement with lower bass extension and better dynamic range. You may also consider using two identical subs, 12 or 15. A dual subwoofer setup improves bass sound stage and breaks up standing waves for smoother low end response. Your Onkyo has two sub outs making the connections easy. The two subs should be located apart from each other and may require some experimenting to find the best sounding location for each of them. Upgrading your subwoofer situation will be a substantial sound improvement.
Is this the same as the SPL150, THE ONE WITH THE WIRELESS, but this has a different model number, and same price but without the wireless Adapter ?
New User U on May 27, 2020
Thanks for your question. World Wide Stereo is running a sale which includes the WA-2 with the SPL-150 at no extra charge.
