Maximum sound

The entire JBL Synthesis line is designed for the finest reproduction. The SCL-3 starts with dual 5.25-inch woofers in rugged cast frames, with cones of Advanced Aluminum Matrix and powerful neodymium magnet assemblies, for low distortion with high responsiveness. And with a power capacity of 300 watts, the SCL-3 delivers the ultrawide dynamic range that today’s cinema soundtracks demand.

Maximum soundstage

JBL’s unique 1-inch compression tweeter is derived from its professional D2 design, with a diaphragm of tough, durable Teonex polyester film. It fires out via a patented High Definition Imaging (HDI) waveguide horn, also of the type found in JBL’s pro monitors, for maximum controlled dispersion and pinpoint soundstaging.

Maximum flexibility

The SCL-3’s square shape means it plays well at just about any position, from left-right mains to over-the-head Atmos. And the paintable magnetic grille means the SCL-3 blends into any décor, or disappears when placed, sans grille, behind an acoustically transparent projection screen.

Maximum synergy

The spec sheets say the SCL-3 can stand alone in any fine home theater setup. And it will. But it really shines when combined with the similarly sonic-signatured SCL-2s and SCL-4s and one or more S2S-EX subs.
