Inverted Domes for Reduced Distortion

The Aria 948 tower speaker uses Focal’s evolutionary new TNF tweeter with an inverted dome for greater stability and flexibility when positioning the speakers. The tweeter also has a Poron material suspension for enhanced memory, reduced distortion and a softer treble. For the listener, this means improved clarity in the crucial two–three kHz range where our ears are known to be most sensitive to sound. 

Superior Sound Projection

As a leader in developing acoustic equipment for close to 40 years, it's no surprise that Focal has transformed the way sound is delivered through their range of standing speakers with the introduction of flax fiber cones in place of the usual fiber-glass version. The Flax cone is made exclusively by Focal in France and consists of flax fiber enclosed between two layers of glass fiber in a sandwich structure. Flax is lighter weight, which makes it the ideal material for internal damping and ultimately superior acoustics. Because of its rigidity, the Flax cone prevents distortion for consistently richer sound reproduction.
