The KLH story began in 1957 in Cambridge, Massachusetts under the name of KLH Research and Development corporation, when founders Henry Kloss, Malcolm S. Low, and Joseph Anton Hofmann sought out to make high-fidelity audio accessible to all. Widely regarded as one of the best and impactful loudspeaker companies in the world, KLH and Henry Kloss have been credited with many industry breakthroughs and firsts, including the first full-range electrostatic loudspeaker (the Model Nine), the first portable solid state record player (the Model Eleven), and the first high-selectivity radio (the Model Eight).
Today, KLH is writing a new chapter in its story. Under the new leadership of CEO David Kelley (a former Klipsch and VOXX executive), KLH has been reborn with a new official name — KLH Audio — and a brand new line of high fidelity loudspeakers (including floorstanding speakers, bookshelf speakers, subwoofers, and home theater systems). We’re proud to support KLH Audio in its mission to make high-fidelity audio accessible to music and movie lovers everywhere.
