Review: New Bowers & Wilkins Headphones: PX & PI
For 2020, Bowers & Wilkins has revamped their PX series headphone line-up by introducing four new models. All designed by the same team behind the 800 Diamond Series speakers used in Abbey Road Studios, all even lighter than the previous series, and three of the models integrate a noise-canceling circuit.
The PX7 is the new flagship model, replacing the best-selling original PX model and made even lighter with new custom carbon fiber composite arms (inspired by race cars so we're told!). The PX7 distinguishes itself as B&W's only over-ear noise-canceling headphone. Stepping down in price and form factor, but definitely not in style, is the PX5 on-ear noise-canceling headphone. Both models come in two fresh colors and have impressive battery life.
Adding to the line-up are two new wireless earbuds: the PI4 and PI3 . Both deliver great performance and awesome style with a connected earbud design. Meaning there is no headband to weigh you down - these earbuds are designed for movement with a soft, silicone and rubber connector that runs behind your neck. Magnets clip the earpieces together when you take them off to automatically pause your music. The PI4 offers active noise cancellation and each model is available in three colors.
All four models support Qualcomm's new Bluetooth aptX Adaptive Technology, a Bluetooth codec that optimizes audio quality depending on your environment. Check out Adam's video reviews below for more details. And - don't forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more video reviews!
