The K65XR90 from Sony is an excellent choice for anyone seeking a powerful, visually stunning QLED TV that doesn’t compromise on performance. Whether you're watching blockbuster movies, high-octane sports, or fast-paced action games, this 65-inch Mini-LED TV delivers breathtaking visuals with vibrant color, rich contrast, and exceptional brightness — all in a sleek, modern design. No wonder this TV snagged our “Best QLED TV” title, huh?
The reason behind the XR90’s visual excellence is Sony’s Cognitive Processor XR, which analyzes and optimizes picture elements in a way that mimics how our brains focus in real life (pretty neat, wouldn’t you say?). This allows the TV to bring out natural depth, realistic textures, and pinpoint clarity, even in fast-moving scenes or dimly lit environments.
The K65XR90 combines two advanced technologies that set it apart from other LED TVs: Mini-LED backlighting and Quantum Dot color technology. Mini-LEDs are significantly smaller than traditional LED backlights, which allows for thousands of individual lighting zones behind the screen. This results in superior local dimming, tighter control over light and dark areas, and much higher peak brightness — ideal for HDR content and daylight viewing (a marriage unheard of in recent times). Meanwhile, Quantum Dot technology enhances color accuracy and richness by using a layer of nanocrystals that emit pure, vibrant colors when illuminated. The result is a display capable of delivering deep blacks and dazzling highlights side by side without losing detail. All of this tech goes into their 75” and 85” sets, too.
For those who prioritize brightness and contrast, the K65XR90 is a smart pick. It performs exceptionally well in both bright rooms and dark home theater settings. The screen handles glare effectively and retains shadow detail in complex scenes, making it perfect for movies, streaming, and live sports. Gamers will also appreciate HDMI 2.1 features like 4K at 120Hz, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), ensuring ultra-responsive gameplay with minimal lag. Maybe those Call of Duty stats will improve with a better TV?
Sony’s XR Triluminos Pro engine expands color reproduction for a wider, more lifelike palette, and HDR support includes Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG, ensuring the best possible version of your favorite content.
Sony’s K65XR90 is a refined, future-ready QLED TV that offers the perfect blend of precision lighting, powerful processing, and immersive color. It’s ideal for anyone seeking top-notch brightness, nuanced contrast, and true-to-life picture quality — all without stepping into the highest price tier. For its performance and versatility, it stands tall among the best QLED TVs available today.
Pros:
- Excellent picture quality
- Great contrast and brightness
- Gamer-friendly performance
Cons:
- Narrower viewing angles
- Limited HDMI 2.1 ports
- Built-in audio could be better

I own a LG OLED TV C1 for about 2 years and it still work like it’s new. I also agree with the top comment. Plus when ever I go to the Best Buy in my area the return TV’s are mostly the SONY BRAVIA? You cannot go wrong with the LG OLED TV’s. I love minds and I’m getting ready to upgrade to a larger size.

Sony is an excellent TV but only has 2 2.1 HDMI ports which is not ideal if you have more than one gaming system and is expensive.
Samsung tvs are not better than LG Oled tvs as they have been known to have to many adverts and are not future proof as Samsung does not support Dolby vision. This important as the major plaforms/apps use it.
The best all round tv and money for your buck is the LG OLED TV. I have the LG C1 55 which is the WBE model and therefore boosts the EVO panel. The LG C1 also includes Black Frame insertion which LG did not include in both the C2 and C3.
Very informative and Ive already put my order in for a LG 77" B3
