The picture quality and brightness is awesome
Great picture quality and brightness. I had an óptimas and it was good but this laser protector is very good, great detail and the laser last lot longer then my previous one

Fantastic Projector
I bought the LG projector to replace the excellent but old Sharp projector. While I was very happy with the sharp, I did not expect that I would be blown away by the quality of the picture that the LG produces. It's out of this world. Colors and true, bright and vivid. Every show that we see looks so much better. I highly recommend this projector. I have old Onkyo preamplifier and amplifier set up which are unable to pass through 4k signal. SO I use the LG as a receiver and loop back the audio signal to the Onkyo processor via optical cable. This setup works really well. There are 3 HDMI inputs which are really good.

Sharp and realistic
I'm only going to get four stars because I had it for a short time at the movies and the picture overall quality is beautiful it's really realistic it's actually better than most tvs

Lack of support and major issues with HDR
This projector has been out for nearly a year and has yet to receive a firmware update. There are a number of issues that could easily be addressed by an update (24p handling, audio lag, crushed dark details for HDR content, overly blue picture out of the box). I needed to buy an expensive Blu ray player with HDR optimization capabilities to make my 4k HDR discs watchable.

Additionally my unit came with a lens defect that needed repair services leaving me with an empty home theater for an extended period of time.

The zoom and lens shift mechanisms are clunky at best.

This projector could be good, possibly great IF LG chose to support it and listen to their customers. Will not be purchasing from LG in the future.

Nice picture and a lot of features
I upgraded from the epson 5040ub and the lg Hu810pw has a much sharper image, brighter and more colorful. I’m very happy with this purchase.

Great picture!
I had been looking for a projector for our new theater room for months and couldn't decide on one. I read many articles and watched a lot of YouTube videos until it became clear the LG Cinebeam was the right choice for us. The picture is amazing for a pixel shifting 4K projector. I can't the difference. It looks better than my 4K tv. LOVE IT!

Luv this projector
I got this projector during the Black Friday sale, my entire family and kids luv watching movies on the big screen. The picture quality is perfect. One thing for Consideration, this projector is very heavy and installing on ceiling takes a lot of effort

Great picture but with noisy flaw!
Fantastic blacks and brightness. Does it use a color wheel? I see vertical stripes when shifting my eyes. Most importantly, the buzzing and zapping that comes from the projector randomly from a few minutes to an hour even when the projector is OFF is completely annoying! It sounds like electrical arcing inside the projector. My first one did it. I returned it and got another one. It did it. Its been back for repairs 2 times and still does it with everything replaced. I believe that that it is a design flaw in every projector. It happens with the projector on or off. The noise can wake you up in a quiet room. Sorry, but this is enough for me to not recommend the projector until there is a serious investigation into the problem that I have been trying to LG to investigate.

DOESN'T PROJECT 2.3:1 ASPECT RATIO
I bought this projector because of its excellent online reviews. However,it appears to have significant design error in that it doesn't appear to project a 2.3:1 ASPECT RATIO which is the standard aspect for native movie projection. Unfortunately, not everyone has a 16:9 aspect ratio screen. My last 2 projectors (Panasonic) were able to project a 2.3:1 aspect but for some unknown reason (also to their customer support people) this LG projector does not. It also does not state this in its manual. I have worked with customer support and they have moved my request "upstairs" to their engineering department and now have received no further response for the last 2 weeks and am unable to reach them. My only choice appears to be to buy a new screen... LG looks to be simply a basic consumer supplier and I wonder what other problems I may encounter in using this product. Am most disappointed.

Upgrading to 4k projection. Wanted a long throw laser projector to eliminate need for bulbs. Price was good and I'm not much of a audiophile so it made sense.

  Thanks for your inquiry. The HU810 native resolution is 4K UHD, 120fps. LG specifications do not provide a latency spec.
