Wireless and Powerful, Klipsch Style

What’s better than powerful, heart-pounding crystal-clear bass? A Plug n Play subwoofer that you can place anywhere in your room to create the ultimate surround sound experience. That’s what the WA-2 Wireless Subwoofer Kit (sold separately from Klipsch subs) allows you to do. You can send bass wirelessly from your home theater receiver or processor or stereo receiver to compatible Klipsch subs that come equipped with a WA Port - movie night will never be the same.

Powerful Bass Without the Wires

The Klipsch WA2 two-piece wireless kit adds wireless audio capability to select Klipsch subs in a matter of second. This eliminates the need for a subwoofer connection cable that’s both unsightly and costly and which traditionally needed to be connected between a receiver and a sub. Since you’re not restricted by the speaker cable, you can then place the sub beside the couch, tuck it under a side table, or keep it in the back of the room, wherever it’s the most convenient, or wherever it looks best.

Minimal Connection

The transmitter connects directly to the sub or line output of a home theater receiver, or AV preamp processor using a RCA connection cable, and a receiver that connects to a proprietary “WA Port” on Klipsch subwoofer models. Using an “advanced automatic channel selection technology,” the wireless signal transmits within a 50 inch (15m) radius.

Instant Pairing for Plug n Play Simplicity

This two-piece Klipsch subwoofer kit, which allows for hassle-free setup, comes with a compact transmitter and a receiver. These sync to each other the first time you use them. Once the initial pairing is complete, the subwoofer is automatically activated whenever you need to use it.  This cuts the hassle of manual pairing.

The perfect kit to turn a high end subwoofer into a wireless beast. No needs to worry about placement because of cable length or trip hazards.

Saddened that it was made in China but, it works well. Very easy set up.

Cracks and pops
I bought 2 of these for my Klipsch SW115s and even with the sound muted, I can hear an ocasional pop noise. I moved both trasmitters away from eachother and the recievers are about 25 to 30 feet apart. After reading reviews on other sites, I may have to just cut my losses and hard wire the subs.

Works Well, interference is a issue though
I'm running this with a SW-311 and getting a fair bit of interference even though the transmitter and receiver are only 11 ft. away from each other. When listening at low volumes, I endlessly get low level bumps and pops. I've bought all shielded cables and kept the receiver and transmitter as far away from other wiring as much as I can. It connects very easily though.

Works, but expensive
Setup is a snap and I can't tell any difference from a wired connection. When I start a movie or something bass-heavy, my 110sw will turn on after a few seconds, then automatically turn off after a few seconds when the receiver shuts off or there's no bass signal (news programming, for instance). So you don't have to worry about it. Just set it and forget it. I love the fact this receiver attaches to the back of the sub too so you don't have any extra clutter. It's well though out.

Only con is the price. I would easily give this 5 stars if it were priced $80 or less. $130 for what is in effect a radio transmitter doesn't seem like a good value. But you won't likely find a cleaner wireless solution than this.

Klipsch Rocks - and....
The product description should SCREAM:
This product does NOT work with any sub that does not have a fancy pants WA port.
Dear Klipsch - I think you made a big mistake, for another $2 this could have been universal and you would be reaching a population of non Klipsch speaker owners to bring them into the family.

Wireless provides great flexibility
I have the wireless kit connected to an SW-310 that is part of a Reference 62 II 5.1 home theater system. Prior to buying it I was concerned that sound quality might be compromised as compared to a subwoofer cable connection, but that is not the case. The biggest benefit is the flexibility in subwoofer placement. I have had the SW-310 in three different spots in the room to find the best location for sound quality while remaining unobtrusive. That is something I probably wouldn't have done had the sub been connected with a conventional cable. I am very satisfied with the product and would definitely recommend it to others.

works great on 7.2 system.
I'm using two WA-2's on SW115 and SW110 on 7.2 Denon receiver system. No need of expensive 40ft sub cables, easy to setup and sound quality is great.

Highly recommend
Using with sw115 and very satisfied with the adapter. I was able to place the subwoofer where I needed without running wires and cutting holes in my walls. Very easy setup and use, great sound quality!

I have an SPL-120 with the wireless kit and I really love it. Can more than one SPL-120 be hooked to the same wireless kit?

Thank you for your question. The receiving module of the WA2 attaches to the sub and is plugged into the amp module. Multiple woofers cannot be controlled with one WA2. A maximum of 4 WA2s may be used in your home to control 4 subwoofers
Are wireless kits available for
Klipsch Rp-250s speakers?
Houston T on Dec 10, 2019
Thanks for the inquiry. The Klipsch RP-250S are passive surround speakers that are connected to the appropriate amplifier output of a surround sound receiver. The wireless kits are typically used for powered subwoofers. The wireless kit is used in place of a single wire with RCA plugs from the subwoofer output jack on the receiver and the line level input on the rear of a powered subwoofer.
