Its tough exterior can withstand almost any mishap, like a fall to the floor. The grille’s thick coat of powder gives the speaker a rugged texture that can withstand whatever your day throws at it. The powder coat won’t peel or flake, and it’s resistant to corrosion and UV light. Hang it using the utility loop.
With its rugged utility loop, you can secure SoundLink Flex to almost anything. Attach the portable speaker’s loop to a carabiner and hang it from a beach chair, or secure it to a strap on your backpack on a hike. You can even use the utility loop to hold the speaker with your finger. Designed to resist twisting, the loop won’t spin or turn when it’s hanging.
Waterproof & dustproof.
Rigorously tested to meet an IP67 rating, the SoundLink Flex is waterproof. Dunk it in water, and it’ll keep on playing. If it’s dirty, rinse it off with water. It even floats, so it won’t sink to the ocean floor if it falls off your paddleboard. The speaker is also protected against dust, so you don’t need to worry if it gets sandy at the beach. To ensure further protection from water, dust, and debris, acoustic components, such as the transducer and passive radiators, which sit underneath the steel grille, were built with rugged, waterproof materials. These components are sealed tightly to the speaker’s housing, keeping out water and dust without disrupting your sound.

The rechargeable lithium-ion battery for SoundLink Flex offers up to 12 hours of unplugged playtime — enough to last throughout the day.
Power-up with convenient charging.
To charge your SoundLink Flex, connect the charging cord (USB-C® to USB-A) to a USB port on your computer or to an outlet using a USB power supply (not included). The charging port is on the opposite side of the utility loop, staying out of the way in any position.

With a built-in microphone, you can receive and make phone calls through SoundLink Flex. The exceptional sound quality allows you to hear whoever you’re talking to with clarity.

The SoundLink Flex Bluetooth® speaker connects to your phone, tablet, or other Bluetooth devices within a wireless range of about 30 feet. Voice prompts talk you through Bluetooth pairing. The speaker remembers up to 8 most recently used devices.
One app for complete control.
Through the Bose Connect app, you can unlock product features, personalize your settings, and get tips. The app automatically updates your SoundLink Flex with the latest software.
Siri & Google Assistant voice commands.
If your phone isn’t nearby, press and hold the multifunction button on SoundLink Flex to access your phone’s native Siri or Google Assistant voice input.
Pair Bose speakers for even more immersive sound.
Whether you’re hosting a party at home or enjoying the outdoors with friends, you can pair your SoundLink Flex with another Bose Bluetooth speaker for louder, even more, immersive sound. Pairing is simple through the Bose Connect app, or you can pair manually. Pairing works anywhere, even away from home. You can also pair your SoundLink Flex with select Bose smart speakers and Bose smart soundbars. Use the Bose Music app to pair your SoundLink Flex with compatible Bose smart speakers and smart soundbars and play them all in sync at home — and beyond. The connected devices must stay within the typical Bluetooth wireless range (30 feet) of each other to remain connected. Walls and construction materials may affect reception.
