Featuring a variety of modern mechanics and cutting-edge technology, this sleek turntable is designed for absolute versatility and convenience without sacrificing audio quality. While vinyl is a delicate medium that requires care and maintenance, this LP player is designed to make enjoying the vinyl experience easy and convenient. Whether you have a collection of vintage records or you've just bought a brand new LP from your favorite band, this record player is designed for optimal audio quality and convenience.

Fully-Automatic Drive for Exceptional Convenience

Featuring a fully-automatic belt drive, this turntable offers a simple, convenient, and user-friendly setup. Simply place your record on the platter and press play and the automatic tonearm will place the needle on the record, so you can enjoy your music with hands-free convenience. As well, this automatic drive will return the needle after the record has finished, so you never have to worry about an endless loop of crackling that occurs when a record ends. Not only is this convenient, but it encourages active listening to an entire LP in full, which truly embraces the romanticism and nostalgia associated with the vinyl medium. It's how your vinyl was meant to be experienced.

Quality Mechanics for Optimal Playback

Beyond the fully-automatic playback function, this record player features a variety of modern mechanics designed to improve listening. A crucial aspect in the quality of your audio is the tonearm and cartridge. This turntable features a balanced hydraulic tonearm for automatic lift control, which offers a delicate touch every time it is placed on a record. The AT91R Dual Moving Magnet phono cartridge features a universal headshell for convenient mounting, and the long-life diamond stylus offers crisp, detailed playback of the audio as it glides through the record grooves. Thanks to these features, each record sounds exactly as it was intended to sound when it was recorded. Finally, the two-speed motor is designed for compatibility with 33 1/3 and 45 RPM records, so you can listen to LPs or singles with ease on this turntable.

Modern, Sophisticated Aesthetic

With a sleek, streamlined aesthetic, this LP player blends the timeless look of traditional record players with a modern, cutting-edge feel. The aluminum platter offers a modern, sophisticated look while also reducing noise-causing vibrations, thanks to the anti-resonance design. The hinged dust cover can be placed up or down during playback, allowing you to tailor the look of the turntable to your personal taste or situation. As a result, this sleek, understated record player is sure to become the focal point of your media room.

Just what I wanted for my first turntable
I have wanted a turntable for a few weeks and tried to do my homework. I am just starting out and just wanted something that I could play my Dad's old records on. This turntable has met all my expectations and for the price, this has been exactly what I wanted. Setup was easy and would recommend to others.

Either I have slowed down or my turntable has sped up
I don't understand what has happened to my turntable.... LPs that I have known for years are running "Fast" .... not 45rpm fast... we're talking a speed that does not seem right... I'm considering taking CD releases of what I also have on vinyl and playing them side by side.... This just happened recently, no problems with the turntable until now.... I feel the tracks are rushed, the pitch is off on multiple LPs.... the whole thing is troubling. Please tell me how to adjust this turntable to a real 33&1/3 rate of travel.... something has changed on this turntable within one year of ownership. I wanted a fully automatic turntable, belt drive, like my old B&O that ran for almost 30 years. This turntable, after less than a year, has me wondering if I made a mistake buying an "affordable" turntable.

Good turntable with simple design issues.
Simply wanted to point out a few design problems. Other than that, it is a decent entry level turntable. The main issue is having to unplug the turntable to change and align a new cartridge. Also, the lack of a tonearm clamp is annoying as one is forced to use a twist-tie for relocation. Fixed rca cables does somewhat puzzle me. Really?

Good budget turntable easy to use and good sounding
I have been using a very good sounding Dual 701 direct drive for years but the strobe light and Rega cartridge is gone and need replacing. Bought a cheap Denon DP200 but it was not so good and not upgradable. I wanted an Audio Technica LP5 but dealer had an LP3 and LP120 in stock so i decided i wanted an automatic. Using it with a NAD amplifier and Misson speakers gave a very good sound.

A Good Introductory Vinyl Record Player
This AT-LP3 has given me an excellent start back to the vinyl record world that I once grew-up during my childhood years. Back then, we had a National/Panasonic HiFi Stereo with a Garrard full auto and stackable turntable. Now as a family man, budget has been tight lately that some of the TT I want is out of reach.
For the ~$300 budget, all I want is - A reliable system (speed must remain constant), Belt driven (hey, I'm old school), Auto Play, User Upgradable Cartridge, Weighted tone arm, and Line out.
This is my first time to ever own an Audio Technica product and so far, all of my requirements has been met by this model.
Assembling the turntable is fun and easy, and the instructions are clear. It gets me excited like a kid as I go through putting on the platter, the belt, and balancing the tone arm as if this is a ritual before anything gets started!

Precautionary for first time users:
1. When plugging the power of the unit for the first time, the platter started spinning and the tone arm has started to move toward the rubber mat! Luckily I was able to catch it and hit the stop button to avoid damaging the needle. This behavior probably is caused by a Start Button being pressed either during the packing or unpacking of the product.
2. This is an ALWAYS-ON turntable. Meaning, even when completely stopped, a small bump that causes the tone arm to move towards the platter, that platter will start spinning and the needle would end-up in a rubber mat that could damage it. Best option to avoid this is to always set the lift lever up when not in use. This unit needs a power button.
3. The product comes with a fixed attached short RCA phono/line output cable. I have a tower type home theater system cabinet with the TT placed on top; be prepared for a female-to-male extension cable to reach the receiver. The manufacturer could have made it simpler by having a female RCA phono/line outlet for which most users may have the common male-to-male cables for use.
