Works great. My only complain is that the battery's went dead in just a couple days. I am sure they were sitting in the box for years.

Is there a remote app?
A shopper on Feb 3, 2018
Hello. Thanks for reaching out to us! The 4806V doesn't come with the necessary hardware for remote app control, but you can add on a module to the system if you desired that convenience. You can also take a peek at the VSS4X10. This is the remote start system that activated through the Viper SmartStart app on your iPhone or Android.
How do you install?
A shopper on Jul 29, 2017
This is a very complicated question to answer. Our best advice is to take the car to a qualified installation professional who has experience in the field.
Does this remote start work with a smart phone app or just the remote?
A shopper on Nov 18, 2019
Hi! This system works out of the box with just the included remotes. There is an add-on SmartStart module if you found yourself wanting to start the vehicle through your iPhone/Android. Hope this helps!
How old of a vehicle could this work on? I have a 1997 Ford Explorer.
A shopper on Jan 30, 2019
Thanks for contacting us! Yes, the Viper 4806V system will work with your Explorer. Hope this helps!
Will this work on my 05 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 w/onstar?
Joeydally on Nov 8, 2018
Hello and thanks for reaching out to us! Yes, the Viper 4806V will indeed work with your truck. You will need an additional piece to interface with the existing anti-theft system as well as the lock network in the truck. These pieces are computer-programmed and generally available from a local installer. Thanks for your inquiry!
will this fit a 1996 GMC Sierra 5.7 LT?
A shopper on Nov 5, 2018
Yup, this Viper remote start system will indeed work with your Sierra. Thanks for your inquiry!
Does this work on my 2006 Chevy Silverado 2500HD Diesel duramax?
Chage V on Oct 23, 2018
Yes, this Viper remote start system does work on your truck and features a delayed start so that the glow plug has time to warm up. Please note that you will need an additional part to have this piece installed into the truck.
Hello! We purchased a used vehicle and it came with this product installed. The remotes are in poor condition, the chargeable one being compelte broken and the other one close behind.
How difficult would it be to order 2 new remotes and have them matched to the system that is already in the vehicle? Or would we need to buy the whole new system?
A shopper on Oct 22, 2018
Hello and thanks for reaching out to us! It would be less expensive to order the new remotes and get them programmed to the system versus buying a whole new system with installation. The 4806V system is quite good (with working remotes!). For the pair of remotes and the programming, you would be at about the $200 mark. If you'd like to order them, please call the store at 215-368-8343 and ask for Chris. Thanks again!
How does it work when you have a push button smart, will this take the place of the dodge remote? I have a 2015 journey.
A shopper on Sep 21, 2018
Hi and thanks for contacting us! The vehicle will remote start just as if it has the traditional ignition system (key start), but the motor will turn off once a door is unlocked and opened after it's been remote started. You will have to put your foot on the brake and start the vehicle up again once you get into the Journey.

The remotes that come with this system will not replace your Dodge keys as you still need them to drive away with the car.

Thanks again for reaching out!
How long do you charge the remote to have it fully charged?
A shopper on Sep 15, 2018
Thanks for reaching out to us! If I recall correctly, I believe that a fully depleted 4806V 2-way remote takes about 3 hours to recharge to 100%. Hope this helps!
Does it work on a 2002 gmc sierra 2500 ?
Jose Rodriguez on Aug 19, 2018
Hi, Jose. Thanks for reaching out and I am so sorry for the delay! The Viper 4806V will work for your truck, but there is an additional piece required called a security interface module that will allow you to install the Viper remote start system while bypassing the Passlock anti-theft system that GMC installed into the vehicle when it was built. These interfaces are typically carried by local car audio shops, so you should be able to find one rather quickly.
Do Viper works for a 2008 Mini Cooper?
A shopper on Mar 24, 2018
Thanks for reaching out to us! Currently, none of the Viper equipment will work with your Mini due to the anti-theft system that was installed into the vehicle when it was manufactured. There are only a handful of options out there that work with your vehicle. If you would like to discuss it further, please feel free to call me at the store at 215-368-8343. Thanks!
What's the range or distance to be able to have remote access?
A shopper on Jan 2, 2018
Hi! Thanks for reaching out to us! The silver-banded remote has a range of up to a mile while the black-banded remote has a range of up to about 2000 feet. Thanks for your inquiry!
Will I need any additional parts to install in 2012 Honda Accord?
Michael L on Dec 2, 2017
Hi, Michael. Thanks for contacting us! Yes, there is an additional piece from Viper called a databus interface module that is required to do the installation. The 4806V kit is universal in design, but you still need to interface with the computer system/anti-theft system in the Honda in order to complete the installation. This piece is sold, programmed, and installed by authorized Viper dealers.

Thanks again!
Is this remote starter work with my Honda Ridgeline 2014?
A shopper on Oct 30, 2017
Hi! Thanks for reaching out to us! Yes, this unit is compatible with your Ridgeline, but please know that you do need an additional part (called an interface module) to tie the remote start system into the vehicle as well as bypass the immobilizer system in the Honda. This unit would have to be programmed by an authorized local dealer for you (if you plan on doing the installation yourself).
Would this work on my 2002 Acura tl type s??
A shopper on Sep 23, 2017
Yes, the 4806V will work with your Acura. Please note that your vehicle does have an immobilizer system installed from the factory that needs to be integrated with so the vehicle will start without a key physically being in the ignition. This is a separate part (not included with the Viper 4806V system).
Would this work on a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins Diesel?
