High-definition movie and multi-channel music soundtracks demand a high-performance surround speaker. The Ultra Surround Speakers rise to the challenge, delivering immersive and thrilling surround sound effects rivaling the finest commercial cinemas. Finished in premium-grade piano gloss black and real black oak veneer, and featuring compact driver arrays with 45-degree baffles and a shallow cabinet depth, the Ultra Surround line integrates seamlessly into any upscale home theater.

Unique and Flexible Surround Sound Modes

For the ultimate in flexibility, the Ultra Surround can operate in three different surround sound modes:

  • Bipole - both sets of drivers in phase
  • Dipole mode - both sets of drivers out of phase
  • Duet mode - each set of drivers receives a discrete signal

Duet mode creates two separate speakers within one cabinet, allowing true 7-channel surround sound with just two surround speakers instead of the more common four. Duet mode is very useful for enthusiasts who want to experience discrete 7-channel surround sound, but who lack the space for a separate set of rear surround speakers.

The Ultra Surround Speakers also feature integral aluminum wall mounting brackets, with safety catch features that help prevent the speakers from being inadvertently dislodged.

Dramatic Styling Yields Sonic Benefits

The stylish Ultra Surround cabinet design yields numerous sonic benefits. The non-parallel cabinet panels reduce standing waves within the cabinet, effectively eliminating frequency response coloration. The wedge-shaped front baffles and flush-mounted drivers reduce edge diffraction and improved on-axis high frequency response. Even the grille design is FEA-optimized to maximize acoustic transparency.

The proprietary SVS drivers utilize the finest materials and design features to ensure the highest sound quality and performance. The Ultra Surround driver array features dual 1” aluminum dome tweeter and a 5.5” woofer.

  • Aluminum shorting ring to reduce gap inductance, lower distortion, and improve high frequency response

SoundMatch Crossover Intelligently Designed for Your Listening Room

The Ultra Surround features dual isolated crossover networks to allow for bipole, dipole, or the unique Duet operating modes. The SoundMatch 2-way crossover features premium-grade capacitors, air-core inductors, and heavy-trace printed circuit boards to ensure pure signal transmission. Careful selection of the crossover frequency and slopes results in outstanding total radiated sound power.

Surrounds
I read many reviews and talked with the staff at SVS. I originally bought the Ultra bookshelf for my surrounds. I mounted them to the wall and they sound great.My wife looked at them and said no. She said they were ugly. So I purchased the ultra surrounds.
I removed the Ultra bookshelves and mounted the surrounds. Much better she said.
Since I now had a set of bookshelves I thought what to do. I could send them back. While she was at the store I mounted the ultra bookshelves behind the seating area, she came home and rolled her eyes.

I am not an audiophile. I was replacing a set of poles I purchased in the eighties. These sound great. I am pleased with the product.

I’m sorry you asked for my opinion, because I have nothing negative to say about these speakers. They are some off the best speakers I ever had the pleasures of listening to. You think with a product this high end your selling practice would be equal to or better than the sound. Instead of calling or emailing me that i was only purchasing 1 speaker was this correct? Instead i recieved 1 speaker with the note still on it for shipping “make this into a single’ is a pretty shitty way of selling your product!

Mullins Theater
I’m in the process of changing from a Klipsch RP set up to SVS Ultra set up. The SVS ultra surrounds are absolutely gorgeous. I’m currently using them as a bipolar set-up in the same configuration as the Klipsch RP402s. I find the SVS speakers offer a more robust surround with slightly more clarity and depth. My system currently consists of a Denon AVR X7200 WA, Oppo UDP 203, Apple 4K, Dual SVS SB4000 subs, SVS Ultra center Klipsch RP8000 which will soon be replaced with Ultra towers. I have 4 Klipsch in ceiling atoms speakers, Klipsch rears soon to be replaced with ultra book shelves. I also have a JVC DLA X750B and an elite screen that houses a 120” screen an a 117” scope screen. For tv watching I’m using a 75” Sony XBR flat screen.

SVS ultra surround speakers!!
This ultra surround speakers are great ????. I notice the great quality sound from this ultra surround speakers. I wanted to test the waters with this speakers seen a lot of reviews on YouTube and I’m glad I have them in my theater room. Hopefully I can upgrade the rest of my set up soon. Thanks SVS great job .

The sound is very good
The sound is very good - the finish is beautiful and you can easily switch from a Bipole to a Dipole output quickly.
These were a huge step up from my previous surrounds and along with the Dual SB 4000 subs, they really changed my HT into a high quality sound system - 4K HD movies take on a whole new meaning now.

Superb Surrounds
These speakers compliment my SVS Prime Bookshelves, Prime Center, Prime Satellites and Prime Elevations. These were the missing pieces for true 7.2.2 Dolby Atmos sound. I got these in excellent, like new quality from the SVS Outlet. Highly recommended!
