I really like the connectivity of the soundbase and the sound with the ultra bookshelf speakers and an sb 4000 sub wich I had connected to the prime wireless soundbase but haven't had it setup to the ultra bookshelf speakers yet as I'm in a wheelchair and can't connect my gear up myself ,I'm quite happy with the sound only problem is when the wi fi drops out the play fi app doesn't work so if I'm using Bluetooth cant adjust volume unless you go to the sound base and adjust it manually wich I can't do once I'm in bed ,So SVS could you please make your own app like my Bluetooth app on my SB4000 so you don't have to rely on the play-fi app our Wi-Fi isn't as good in Australia ,I'd pay extra for a remote like the one on your subs

Excellent Option
Downsized home to a condominium. Didn't have a whole lot of room for my rack. Needed compact Amp that would drive my favorite ADS passive bookshelf speakers. Sound quality is excellent and convenience of streaming. Side note....added a SB-3000 sub and system rocks. Neighbors weren't too happy when mama decided to truly hear her favorite song. Her comment was "it's like having a Ferrari and not being able to drive it!" hasn't even experienced the SVS speaker lineup yet.

No remote
I love most everything about it but it needs a remote and you should be able to turn it off. At night the lights get annoying.

I Fricken Love It!
I'm amazed there aren't more reviews on this amp, I'm currently running this amp with my Kef LS50's which are known for being very power hungry and they sound awesome. I originally had them hooked up to an onkyo 8160 and in my opinion they sounded terrible when I started getting into the mid upper volume range, this was also happening when I was powering my boston acoustic a360's with the onkyo receiver, honestly I never put much thought into what was going on I just kind of lived with it. Well I'm a big fan of SVS and saw this amp on craigslist for $275 I couldn't pass it up. When I got home I hooked it up to my towers just to see if it could push them, holy cow! I was seriously blown away on how good my towers sounded. I have owned these speakers for probably 10 years and have had them hooked up to emotiva xpa-2, and even then I don't recall them sounding this good. I scored some LS50's on ebay a few week's ago and tried hooking these up to my onkyo receiver again, figuring well i'm sure they'll sound fine they're ls50's..... dead wrong! Started getting up into mid range volume and sure enough they started to destort so I thought to myself, "Well it's time to go grab the svs from the basement." I got everything hooked up and cranked up some NIN,Tool,A perfect Circle with zero distortion. I'm still amazed on how much of a difference good amplification and bad amplification can change the sound quality of a good speaker. Anyways enough of me rambling on about what I think. If you are in the market for a nice compact and powerful amp look no further. I honestly feel like your going to spend in the upper $1000-$2000 if you want to out perform this amp. This is just my opinion though, take it for what it's worth.

Great sound quality, Value, Easy to use.

I bought the SVS SoundBase connected Amp because I wanted a single box that was capable both of streaming music in Hi-Fi quality and playing well on speakers. Indeed this unit delivers that for me. I am very happy with my purchase. Currently it is connected to a pair Elac UNI-FI UB5 Bookshelf speakers, and it drives them with authority.

Sound Quality is Excellent.
The Amplifier is Powerful.
Streaming Hi-Fi music is easy. I personally now use Qobuz: My favorite test tracks are:

1. Stevie Ray Vaughan : Tin Pan Alley: Qobuz 24 bits/96 Khz.
2. Unspoken: Can’t deny your love: Qobuz: 16 bits/44.1 kHz.
3. Steely Dan : Jack of speed: Qobuz : 24 bits/96 kHz.

Improvements I would like to see in future versions:
1. Add a power on/off switch.
2. Add a remote (use case when watching movies: volume cannot be controlled using the Play-Fi app: must get up and adjust the volume knob).
3. Add ability to unfold TIDAL MQA in the Play-Fi app.
4. Volume knob: make it easier to increase the volume slowly at low levels. Currently with some loudly recorded tracks it’s hard to adjust the volume at low levels precisely. (Not an issue with movies nor with audiophile recordings).

I use and enjoy this connected amp every day. I think it delivers great sound quality for the money in a package that’s easy to use.
I give it a four star rating. When improvements 1 to 4 are added I will then give it a 5-star rating.

“Simple Perfection” I have the Prime Towers and a PB2000 (soon to add another) and not much of a fiddler of settings and adjustments, so this is perfect for me.

Almost Perfect!
I am driving my Ultra Bookshelf Speakers with no problem, beautiful sound. I love that it is small. My only complaint is that it doesn't have a remote, I have my tv hooked up to it and I have to turn the volume up and down old school. Make a remote for this and it will be perfect!

150 watts, but that's for one using two eight-ohm speakers. So in reality that's about 75 watts for one using two eight-ohm speakers? Am I correct? The vast majority of speakers made today are eight-ohm. Just want to be sure. Please advise
A shopper on Dec 13, 2018
The manufacturer specifies the amplifier at 150 watts for each channel into 8 ohms
Can I use wired speakers, as well as wireless speakers, at the same time?
A shopper on Nov 27, 2018
This soundbase is intended for use with wired speakers. Since this unit uses DTS:Play-Fi for streaming capability, it can be incorporated into a DTS:Play-Fi whole home audio system which can include Play-Fi enabled wireless speakers. For more information about Play-Fi, speak with a representative at 866-961-7781
