Modern Convenience for Classic Components
Wish your old stereo and record player was packed full with today's technology? The Sonos Amp makes it possible by letting you connect to your favorite devices so you can enjoy. Whether you’re an audiophile with a hefty vinyl collection or a person who streams all of their audio from the cloud, the Sonos Amp delivers a unique and powerful listening experience.
Just Add Speakers
With Sonos, building the audio system of your dreams is only one speaker away. This Amp easily connects to other wireless Sonos speakers, whether you want to create a traditional stereo system with a wireless modern edge, or you want to build a surround sound home theater. You can even take the party outside as the Sonos Amp can power additional outdoor speakers as well, allowing your home stereo system to expand to the backyard.
HDMI ARC Support
Adding surround sound to your TV is a cinch with the Sonos Amp, thanks to HDMI ARC support. Sending audio signals upstream and downstream over a single connection makes for fewer audio cables and a cleaner cable management system.

The best part about it is that the systems can be controlled individually, with the music for each suited to the person's mood in the room, or they can all be operated together as one system. Integrating the AMPs with the speakers is simple (I recommend only attaching two speakers per AMP) and provides exceptional sound. When the television in a room is turned on, the AMP for that room automatically switches to TV sound and turns on the soundbar. Sonos are now the leaders in how whole-house audio should be integrated.
The only issue is that if a wireless soundbar is used and you have a wired subwoofer plugged into your AMP, the subwoofer is turned off. I have tried the Sonos subwoofer once, and I feel that it lacks the sound quality of my Klipsch subwoofer, so I returned the Sonos subwoofer. Now I have to choose between the subwoofer and the center speaker (soundbar), and the sub wins, especially with action films. If I had to guess, Sonos could easily fix this in a software update. If we all nudge them a little, they may do it.
