I like the projector.
the big image makes it feel like a movie theatre. i am not getting any weird distortions that people are talking about (or they are too subtle to bother me).

the intensity is a bit low such that i need to put up curtains to make the room as dark as possible during the day time or the picture is not bright enough to have a good experience. with curtains closed it is okay. works excellent at night.

i have been trying to project to it (through bluetooth) making it an extension of my computer monitor so i can watch medical conferences and lectures. this works okay at first but after a little while, it seems to just disconnect from my computer. the disconnection always happens between 5 min and 20 min or so. i do not know why samsung is unable to stay connected to my computer (win 10).

Amazing!
this projector is a 4k short throw meaning you just set it up on your stand and the picture goes up on your wall, no need to install anything. the picture is huge and clear i am using a white wall only no screen and its awesome. i highly reccomend this projector.

Need some improvement in the product
i bought this product assuming that the size of the projector would be similar to other projectors in the market which is small, however to my surprise it is much bigger and heavier than other projectors.
quality of the projection is very good and i am pretty impressed with the quality.
however the measurements shared in the manual for the display is not accurate.
would also like if there was auto image stabilization and more picture settings for various mode.
it would be great if there can be a black color for the product.
for now i am returning this product and will wait for future new models with some more advance features.would definitely own one in future.

Stunning picture
the quality of this display in anything from a pitch dark to medium bright room is amazing. i had zero problems with setup and the borders are straight as an arrow. here's a tip: you're buying an expensive projector; don't skimp on the screen. don't just use your wall. buy a good clr screen (us$1,000 minimum) - not alr - and you will be very happy with your purchase.

Love it but torn to give it a 5 till I know more
i just bought it this week and had high hopes.its amazing when it comes to set up, ease of use and colors , brightness , contrast etc , and then comes the hiatus .
1.borders on the screen is never straight. does samsung has a flaw in this product - samsung team please answer it , if you know or can suggest to make my display a perfect rectangle.i am projecting on a wall(with the grey screen paint) from a fairly sturdy table, at the said distance and height etc.table is placed on a carpet floor.
2. and then i saw something that i bet i saw. i turned off my projector from the remote and i saw the flickers - colored streaks displayed on my wall. is that normal? when the projector is turned off , why would it send any display to the screen. is everything ok with my product.

Picture quality good, Bluetooth poor
when connecting bluetooth audio devices to projector such as headphones or external speakers, volume is maxed out at a very low level. the volume equates to level 4 when using the builtin speakers. also, the projector doesn't default to your last bluetooth connection but to the builtin speakers only. you have to setup bluetooth from scratch each time you start the projector. when you pause the stream, you have to change the sound mode from bluetooth to builtin speakers, then back to bluetooth to reactivate bluetooth.
the picture quality is good. no focus problems. setting up the projector was easy. connecting to samsung smartthings app was quick and simple.
it would be nice if samsung would allow blocking off specific live tv stations.

I love this projector!!!
best projector for the enthusiast that historically loved projectors. i've had almost all generations of projector technology since the late '80s. i can toss anything at this projector, gaming (retro & current-gen), media players, various components, and so forth. this projector auto-detects for easy setup.

so amazed at the ability to work in ambient light. i went to home depot, purchase a thin hardboard for $12 and a can of premium light gray paint, works great! the configuration of the screen was a temp and cheap for the purpose to validate the setup before the investment of a permanent solution. just amazed at the performance of this thing.

Distorted Borders
overall, i like it. my major issue is distorted borders (see photo below). they are not perfectly straight.

i suppose this could be the wall, but i moved it around in an effort to determine that and couldn't shake the distortion. i don't notice it when i am watching or playing something, but it does show up prominently when you are in a menu.

additionally, the lense arrived with markings and imperfections on it (see photo below), which may be contributing to this problem.

Once it was up and running, I was very impressed
i have been sold on the idea of filmmaker mode for quite a while, so i knew it was worth giving this projector a try.

first off, it was a pain in the butt to line it up to my screen. on about my fourth attempt, i just got really picky with exact placement so the "inside menu" adjustments could be minimal. that seems to be the secret sauce. have the right size piece to place the projector on and line it up by hand as best as you can before going and adjusting in the menu.

now that it is up and running, i am in love with this projector. it looks amazing with my 90" elitescreen. it works great looks amazing in filmmaker mode and the audio is totally solid. i have a roommate so, i have also used my bluetooth headphones with great success.

Does this projector have a vertical image shift feature. I already have a permanent 120 screen on my wall with a cabinet beneath it. The top of the cabinet is 12 below the bottom edge of the screen. Would I be able to position the projector on my cabinet to get a properly positioned image on my 120 screen?

  Thanks for your question. Please download Samsung LSP7 owners manual to confirm your specific image size and projection distance. The manual chart indicates the shelf at 17.3 below the screen for a 120 screen.
