Customer Reviews for LG 55SM8600P 55" 4K UHD HDR Smart TV
After the initial quick set up with the universal remote I turned my TV off to cook dinner for my family. Upon turning it back on I noticed a gallery feature on the screen. This feature made my TV look like a framed picture with a variety of sceneries. This was awesome and very unique.
The Nano color is mind blowing with deep rich, vivid true colors. I feel like I'm at a movie theatre with this 4k TV. Yes, this TV has changed my life for movies and everyday watching.
There is no lag time with it's Intelligent Processor. We enjoyed racing games over the weekend and I felt as though I was literally in the game.
The Dolby Atmos sound is awesome. I feel as though I'm at a concert while watching music videos on You Tube.
I'm very delighted with the purchase of my TV and can't wait to discover more exciting features.

The TV itself is gorgeous, and the picture is even better. Crystal clear 4K, vivid colors, and everything just pops off the screen. I use this as a monitor on steroids for my desktop PC, and I use it for everything – to work, to watch television, to game, and for hobbies - and it crushes all of those. Gaming and television, of course, look stunning, but it’s also fantastic as a monitor. I can multi task and have a ton of windows open simultaneously, all while being able to see everything individually. I also use this for 3D modeling, which is really helpful in being able to see minute details and to be able to have multiple models on screen for shaping. I can truly use this TV for everything, and everything looks beautiful. Colorful. Deeply detailed. Especially 4k rendered PC games at max settings.
Probably the only negative of this TV was the initial setup. For my needs, I just want to plug it in and go, but unfortunately, the first time you power it up, it starts with an unskippable wizard that wants you to set up every device imaginable… cable service, streaming service, Alexas, Rokus, you name it, and it was a little annoying having to find ways to skip those and to constantly say that no, I was not interested in setting up (insert device here, yes, I'm sure, please just let me proceed already. But it’s a very minor grievance, and not one that would stop me from raving about this TV, which is still, no question, the best in my household.

My previous LG 4K TV was never capable of being a TV for console games, the latency just held you back in competitive games, but on the Nano Cell, this is not at issue at all!
Having compared my QLED to my new LG screen, I could not observe any noticeable differences. They both do a great job in color reproduction, image quality, and image processing. However, the LG TV is much better at on screen navigation. The smart TV features just feel more snappy, and the motion remote is much easier to use.
I really love the way the Destiny 2 looks and plays . The response time in game mode is amazing and puts my other TVs to shame! I have enjoyed several seasons of The Man in the High Tower in beautiful 4K and stuffing HDR. Our 4K Marvel Movie binge before seeing the final Avengers movie had my partners jaw on the floor. We couldn't get past the exception picture quality and sound coming out of this TV.
We have always used high-end sound systems or soundbars in our home theater, but that has never really been the case with the TV in our bedroom. Our last TV we added a small soundbar, to help the weak speakers, but when we setup the new TV we were too excited and forgot to hook it up. We were shocked at how great the sound was coming from a TV with such a small bezel. I cannot recommend this LG TV enough!
I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest opinion.
