i'm sold on these!
I just purchased the X20i today. I was skeptical, having agonized over the decision to spend the extra money for these. Wish I had purchased them earlier! The first album (John Coltrane's A Love Supreme) sold me on the quality of the audio. I heard things in the recording (good things!) that I never hear from my over-the-ear headphones and reference speakers. I then moved to an album devoted to solo classical guitar by Barrios. Having played classical guitar for years, I can now hear things in the recordings that I would only previously hear in live performances. The quality of the audio is beyond anything I anticipated from in-ear headphones. I almost purchased custom-molded in-ear headphones for over twice the cost, but I am very happy with these. No hiss or buzz, these headphones are almost as sound-isolating as a pair of noise-cancelling (over the ear) headphones I own, but are much more transportable and wearable. I found that I can play music at a much lower sound level than ever, while still hearing more detail and quality than I ever experienced in recordings before. I haven't put these to the test with reference sounds and test equipment, but I absolutely can attest to the quality of the audio. It will take me a couple of months, but now I have to listen to my entire classical guitar collection again! If you are on the fence, jump off and buy these. I was not disappointed.

Still annoyed that the we don't have Android functionality
It would be really nice to not have to spend $$$$$ on headphones and continue to see only the ridiculous iCommunity supported. There are more Android phones in the world, check the stats and it seems that if I can get this in cheaper models, I should be able to get this in a premium set of buds. This is simply ridiculous

The best gone even better
Upgraded to X20i from my old X10i. The move was complicated. At first I didn't even get the difference.

However, after some break-in the X20i opened all it's beauty and power to my ears. The precision of the sound, the perfectly detailed sounds at every single music genre you put these to is just insane.

I love the highs - they are very musical and strong. The mids are a lot more precise than X10i (who could have thought it's possible at all?) and the lows are strong and fast. The LF response with a dedicated low driver COULD be better(or stronger), but yet there are armature so you can live with that. Especially considering the fact that they DO give that punch with powerful electronic music.

The downside is they are heavier than X10i. This could be an issue wearing the for long time, but I did not yet find any discomfort using those. Also, while they are good with a phone, insanely good with an iPod Classic - adding an amp is uhm, USELESS. I tried the new Hi-Res Audio-Technica headphone amplifier and it did not change a thing. Hope this is because they are sensitive enough to play descentyl with anything.

Hey, Klipsch, GIVE US REPLACEMENT CABLES - 6.3mm, XLRs cables with no mic, coiled cables for PC use etc. Maybe a wireless module with Bluetooth? The removable cable tech could upgrade the X20i in so much ways!

The BEST ear buds money can buy... period!
I was pretty nervous spending this much money for ear buds. I tried a number of high-end headphones before settling on these. I chose these for one simple reason - they provided the best sound (ear buds or over the ear) I've ever heard. They do not color the music in any way, nor do they use electronic gimmicks to fill in gaps they way some other units do. They are so well made, so well balanced, and so well engineered as to not need any "help" producing music that is as close to real as I've ever heard. Well done, Klipsch! I love these headphones!!!!

Excellent, wish Klipsch sold alternate cables though
Comparing these to the Klipsch x10s which i've been using since 2009, the fit is very similar. The provided eartips work well at creating a good seal. They are very small and can still fit right in your ear canal if you want. The sound signature is that of the x10s, but the treble has come out to play. Rich bass with beautifully detailed highs, and very smooth flat response all around. They sound perfect. They are a great upgrade from the tried and true x10s.

I love the design of the new cables as well. They are slightly thicker than the x10s. The see through casing is nice. What I do not enjoy however is the Apple mic / control. I don't use Apple products, and this control is in a less convenient location for trying to ignore than the x10i. I feel like I'll eventually break it trying to wrap up the headphones to put into their leather pouch. Since the x20i has replaceable cables, and I seem unable to find anywhere to sell affordable replacement cables with these special connectors, this would be an opportune time for Klipsch to sell their replacement cables. A version with no mic/control on it would be great, and a cable with an Android capable control on it would also be great. I'd probably buy both outright. But currently I am stuck with the Apple control I will never use.

This annoyance doesn't stop me from giving a perfect score still, Klipsch can eventually come around and sell alternate cables for this. They don't even seem to sell replacement ear tips for this yet. I would also like to try their 'super slim' ear tips in the large size. The super slim medium tips that are included are too small to provide a good seal. These headphones also don't come with a shirt clip to keep the heavier cable from bouncing around and tugging on one's ears, I borrowed the clip that came with my x10i. The eartip cleaning tool and airline adapter is also not included anywhere. But you do get a pretty wooden box in place for these missing items.

Best pair of headphones I've owned thus far!
No complaints on anything. I work in the film industry and am very particular with sound that I or others record, my X20i's let me hear everything in clarity . These headphones delivery incredible sound, from high-ends to the rich bass. I love them and are worth every cent. I also love the solid construction, I only buy things that are built to last and can take a beating, these have held up quite well.

State of the Art? Headphones?
I had a pair of headphones I liked by another manufacturer but for no reason they failed. I was not the only one to experience this problem. Cord problems. I just bought these 20i ones as I know with care they won't fail me,to replace that other poor set. I got them on sale from Klipsch. I would not pay the full asking price for the 20i but at sales price the price is right. I use them for home and travel. I have a pair of Klipsch 6i and Reference on ears for work and outdoor walking to receive phone calls,so it is no secret that I like Klipsch products best. These 20i give you the essence of a good or bad recording as it was produced ,nothing more or nothing less. That is the mark of a very fine sound reproducer. Reference headphones should not color the sound. The 6i headphones are almost as good as the20i. The on ear Reference Klipsch headphones I also have, are among the finest headphones I have ever heard. On ear or over the ear headphone verses earbuds are different listening experiences that is why headphones are so hard to evaluate on a comparative listening experience. In the end the is nothing better than sitting down and listening to a good set of speakers like Heresy by Klipsch. I guess that these days the audiophile can have it all as fine sound at home on the computer or listening to the stereo with headphones or fine high end speakers, speakers for home theater. Out doors or indoors you now can take it with you as fine sound and a fine phone and for many it is outside of the home where it is most appreciated at work or for recreation. The 20i headphones are expensive but they seem to be durable enough to be the ultimate listening for many on the go people,so that would justify the expense of these. If the ear piece you choose with these stays in your ear you have the proper seal for the best bass response. The 20i come with a nice carry case and wooden box. Use the case and they should last as the cord seems durable enough. These are really well made.

The best sounding headphones in its price range!
I use these with the Sony NW-A25 and it sounds fantastic! Very natural, clear, crisp sound! I was hesitant to get these because I'm a high schooler and I could barely afford them but it was definitely worth the price!
I compared these to my Westone W10 and you can really hear the difference, especially in the highs which is obviously because of the super tweeter.

Finally, Comfortable Audiophile Sound Quality IEM's!
Klipsch hit the ball out of the park with this product! Excellent audiophile full range sound, ear buds that are so comfortable and lightweight, cables that are noise free. I thought their X11i ear buds were good but the cable noise was a deal breaker plus the x20i's sound is much better. The only other pair of ear buds I enjoyed for their sound quality were the Sony XBA-Z5 but their sport style ear holder was not comfortable.
