Customer Reviews for Klipsch RSB-6 Reference Sound Bar with Wireless Subwoofer (Black)
Mid-range is great. If all you want is better sound to watch the news or a sit-com, it's okay.
Here are a few things you need to know if you're considering getting this unit. Perhaps your needs and expectations are different than mine.
If your television isn't HDMI-ACR capable, it won't work. Thankfully, I had an optical cable so I can use the RSB-6. I would prefer that the sales information would make that far more clear.
The unit shuts itself off once in a while. Really. All of a sudden there's no sound, and I have to use the remote to turn it back on.
Also, one of the "features" that it claims is that this unit is able to be controlled through your existing television controller. It's only half true. Both my Comcast remote and my Samsung television remotes were able to control the volume ... but only louder. You cannot decrease the volume.
Lastly, the sound is much more tinny than I expected, even with the included Bluetooth speaker set to max.
Ugh. Well, I suppose I'll get used to it. I'm not going to drop another $400+ to get something else.
I wish that I had bitten the bullet and spent a hundred dollars or two more. I'm stuck with what I have. The set-up was simple (but only because I happened to have an optical cable), and it looks nice.
The sound quality is okay. Not poor, not great, but okay. The Bluetooth connectivity for your phone or laptop is a nice feature.
To reiterate my main complaints, it shuts off every hour or so. The remote control is tiny and very shoddy, and I wish that I could use my existing remote controls.
