Get the Bass You Need

The R-8SW Subwoofer's compact cabinet allows for discrete, flexible placement without sacrificing detailed low frequencies needed for a smaller room. The 8" down-firing copper injection-molded graphite woofer is powered by an all-digital amplifier to deliver abundant power with efficiency and accuracy.

Features

  • Rich bass
  • Compact design
  • Spun copper IMG woofer
  • All-digital amplifier
  • Down-firing driver
  • Low-pass crossover
  • Phase control
  • Line/LFE inputs
  • MDF cabinet with brushed polymer veneer

Copper Down-Firing Woofer

Injection Molded Graphite (IMG) woofers are exceptionally light while being extremely rigid, providing remarkable low frequency response with minimal cone breakup and distortion. The down-firing design of the R-8SW improves the low frequency response with minimal effort.

A Compact Design

At only 13.25" high and 11.75" deep, the minimized stature of the R-8SW makes it the smallest of all Klipsch subwoofers. Designed to be incredibly flexible in any current or future room layout, while producing chest-thumping bass. The R-8SW is finished in a sleek brushed polymer for a contemporary aesthetic and seamless integration into your home décor.

Take Total Control

Low-pass crossover and phase controls allow you to blend the subwoofer's low-frequency tones with other Klipsch speakers as well as customize your ideal level of bass. The Line/LFE inputs ensure compatibility with old and new receivers.

Love it
I live in a small apartment. I have the R-15 system and only use it for digital music. On stands they were lacking bass. This subwoofer did the trick. It's perfect for my application. Love my Klipsch products!

Deep, Strong and Clean!
I replaced a good Polk PSW 10" sub with this 8" sub and it has deeper base, more power and a better/cleaner power supply. It is primarily for my home theater system in a large (15'x17') living room with 15' ceiling: 70" Sony 1080p/Harman Kardon AVR-3600 receiver/Infinity TSS 1200 5.1 AV speakers. The original 12" Infinity stopped functioning, and this 8" Klipsch sub is insignificantly close in performance to the 12" when it was new. Again, it is cleaner, and has more "thump/rumble" than the Polk 10" sub I had been using since the 12" died, and it does not break up and distort like the 10" did even when at higher output levels.

I purchased this to add to the new pair of The Sixes (which are excellent). I prefer a lot of bass. This did the trick. Not enough for home theater but perfect for my 2.1 phono set up.
