Seriously blown away
My wife likes to sing along with music, at high sound volume. She fried the little onkyo speakers she had, so I replaced them with the R-15m. I figured it was an affordable upgrade that would sound pretty ok. I have all bowers and wilkins in my main room, Office, and Den. I had heard of klipsch, but never got on board. I figured they were going to be kind of harsh, yet play loud. We were both amazed at the sound we heard. She kept asking, are little speakers supposed to sound like this? We were in shock with all the detail we could hear, and how alive they sounded. So the next morning, I hooked them up in the main room. I could hear so many more little nuances, more defined and detailed than the Bowers and Wilkins. After a few hours of listening, I got the green light to replace the living room speakers. So we got the R-28f and R-25c. I'm powering them with a Pioneer SC-55, after calibration and positioning. We loaded up hunger games, we have watched it many times. We found ourselves more involved and drawn in. The impact of explosions, bullets whizzing around, the planes. It was insane the amount of detailed precision that assaulted us. After the movie it was time to explore some music. I listen to everything from Born of Osiris, to Agnes obel, deadmau5, you name it I probably listen too it. I'm also a musician, playing guitar, piano, violin, bass. I constantly have to listen with criticism, in order to mix and master music. I forgot on the sc-55 you have to set sub to plus, in order for it to send a signal for stereo playback. On pure direct, just sending a signal to R-28's they sounded a bit harsh. I kept thinking something was off. I tweaked my sub setting, and got that balance I was looking for. I could not be happier with a speaker. It is alive, I hear new things in all that I have played. In a deadmau5 track there is a song with ambient train sounds, and people shuffling about the platform. It is kind of subdued, as it is meant to be; but it transformed and became spacious and inviting on the klipsch. I have just been in dis-belief, really its something you have to hear to get. Great job klipsch, you did not break my bank and sounds incredible.

Music, music, music. Totally awesome speakers. Placed them in my garage so I can listen to music while working on my MGs. Envy of the neighborhood motor heads.

I did my research and bout the r28 mostly due to the quality name of Klipsch and the price of the speaker. In my opinion they are the best in the price range. I listened to a lot of speakers for months before buying and kept comming back to these. They are wonderful at high volumes for music and movies. They also give great sound at a low enough volume for my 1yo to sleep through. Cant put a price on that. Thank you Klipsch for the wonderful products. No other name enters my house after this. I now have the 10"sub to go a long. Perfect as well.

These are a gift to myself and no compensation will suffice! Do not wait for Christmas Sales buy a pair right now! Driving a conservative 600 watts per channel bi-amped sort of like when CD's first came out. I am hearing correct lyrics to music I've sang wrong for so many years. I am so much in love with these that I am at a loss finding superlative describing words! Seriously if I die tomorrow my life has been made complete.

Excellent sound value
Home entertainment system, wide range use. Broadcast television, movies , music.
I had an expensive set Of definitive technology floor pro cinema and after a couple weeks decided to return them. While I do enjoy listening to music at higher volume levels, I'd say 90% of the time were at lower levels & the pro cinema speakers just don't produce full range of sound like the R28f Klipsch do. Even better at high settings I might add. Great sound at a good price IMO.

Outstanding, simply outstanding speakers
Hooked up to a very simple old fashioned style stereo. Yamaha RS700 receiver and CD600 CD player. Double stereo configuration with the older WF-35's in the rear. The R28F's are an outstanding set of speakers. Use to be very active in home hi fi sales back in the day and with all the Ohms, JBL's, Acoustic Research, KLH, Advent etc. I sold and heard, these Klipsch speakers take a back seat to nobody.

I replaced a pair of dual 8 JBL Stadium towers that were quit nice but I must say these Klipsch r28s are the best speakers in the price range! These speakers could deafin you if you pushed them hard enough! I've rocked these speakers all night at extreme volumes with no distortion. Treat yourself to the best, Klipsch!

Great pair speakers if you can get them on sale! Replaced them with my Klipsch SF-1's in my theater system. They brought new life into my older system.
