Comes through on their promises.
I bought 2 of them one at a time. I thought if one can do this imagine what 2 would do. These subwoofers hit low and hard. The kind of bass you can feel hit you in the chest. I've owned mine about 2 years now and they continue to impress. You don't find this kind of performance for the price klipsch sells these for anywhere else. I've tried different subwoofers throughout the years and have always been pleased with Klipsch. My first pair of klipsch subwoofers I purchased in 2006. I gave one to each of my sons and they are still abusing them. I had decided to try another brand only to be disappointed.

Great sound
I was initially worried that this 12" would overpower my setup at the time (R-51M and would be too loud being that I live in a town home. To my surprise this speaker filled my room with clear crisp bass that is loud in my room however does not bother my neighbor. Don't get me wrong if I crank my music up and the amp on the speaker it has enough power to shake the walls quite literally. I also use this speaker when watching movies and it really adds depth to a lot of movies. I normally keep the amp at around 6 and it is more than enough power. I absolutely recommend this sub woofer and could not be happier with its performance.

This sub brings the BASS!!
The R120SW brings the bass. It easily fills your room. I have a 22x18 theater room. This sub can shake the walls. The bass is smooth and stays that way as your crank it up.

That's what daddy likes!
Wow, this is a beautiful sound! The adjustable volume knob on the rear is a god sent. If turned to full volume, the bass reverberates through the hardwood floor and the walls shake. Once properly adjusted the bass and deep notes of the music are clear and precise, perfectly balancing the sound. We use it for both our music and TV. We have a very diverse musical taste from Classical to jazz, from acoustic roots music guitar to reggae. It's absolutely brilliant.

Be careful with sub levels
4 stars for now; I am still getting it dialed in. I bought this sub to go with a pair of The Fives. It does a good job of filling in the bottom end of the music, and the built-in low pass filter in the speakers is helpful. So is the ability to raise or lower sub level from the remote; different recordings have different levels of bass EQ.

That said, it is easy to set the sub level just a bit too high, which changes the sound from coherent to just tubby, "too much" bass very easily. My ears are very sensitive to bass quality, and boomy, one-note bass is the last thing I want. I find that if I can actually hear the sub separate from the speakers, then it is likely set too high. Set up correctly, that's not a problem here.

More than expected!!!!
Much more power than i expected.
This Klipsch drowns out my receiver and speakers. I have to put this sub at -4 on my Yamaha 676 rvx and 3/4 volume level on the sub to balance it with my receiver and speakers. This is with the crossover set to 110. The higher I set the crossover the louder and stronger the thump gets. This setting seems to work best for my preference and needs.
I am mainy using this for music listening and playing RockBand.
The sub aslo adds great depth and more detail for movies.
The sub does not fade at full volume. My neighbors are beginning to hate me. I couldnt be happier.
I boughtthe sub on salec50% off. Well worth the 299 bucks I spent.
Thanks Klipsch for the great sub and the great price. I will be buying more of your products in the future.

Ready to use-ability
Needed a cable to use the product and the cable was hard to find. Other than that it’s doing what it claims so no worries.

Do these subwoofers have the threads built in for isolators to thread into ?
Randy Z on Dec 11, 2021
Thanks for your question. The foot thread size is not included in any provided specification. We apologize for the delay in answering as we had to physically turn a store demo R-120SW on its side, unscrew a foot and take a look. The foot is attached with an M6 (metric) bolt, about long, threaded into a T-nut. The SVS SoundPath Subwoofer Isolation feet include four M6 x 16mm machine screws.
Can you use the Klipsch wireless with this?
A shopper on Oct 13, 2020
Thanks for your inquiry. The R-120SW 12 subwoofer can be connected wirelessly using the Klipsch WA-2 Wireless Subwoofer Kit.
