So close to perfect! I rate them as a "buy"!
If you’re reading this review, you’re probably like me and trying to figure out what the best pair of headphones is for the price. My needs were a pair of headphones for flying on business trips; usually 2 hour flights at a time. My ‘wants’, in order, for headphones were: noise canceling, wireless, on-ear, portable, comfortable, and sound quality. I tried on almost every pair available in the stores and found some were more comfortable than others but might have poor noise canceling, then other had great noise canceling but were not wireless, and the list went on and on… When the dust settled I found that the JBL Elite 300’s had everything I wanted except they were the least comfortable of the bunch. What easily pushed me over the edge was JBL had features that the competition couldn’t touch and the noise canceling was the best I could find in a wireless headphone. For me, I could deal with them being the least comfortable because everything else was so far superior. For example, there is an app that allows you to customize the EQ, there is a button that allows you to hear the environment around you (called ambient aware), they have auto-off, they are durability, and of course the noise canceling is the best I found for a wireless model. I found they had too many ‘goodies’ that I couldn’t pass up on.

Pro’s: Superior noise canceling, tons of technology, portable, durable, nice padded zipper case, sound excellent for the price, ambient aware, solid buttons and feel.

Con’s: JBL, I hope you’re listening to your customers… You completely nailed it with this headphone but failed on comfort. In my opinion, they are least comfortable when compared to other brands. My wife and I both agree that the top of the headband goes flat when wearing and that creates a pressure point right at the top of the head. They are also very tight, but I think that would be much less of an issue if they arched at the top of the headband and had softer padding.

Final thoughts: If you personally find them comfortable or at least tolerable, I would challenge you to try and find a more feature rich and quiet pair of headphones. For the money I think they are the best by a longshot. If they were more comfortable I would have paid more…

A JBL Pro-stuffed room in a pair of headphones
The headphones seem to be uncomfortable to some, but the discomfort aside, Harman has been working very hard to ensure the experience of a JBL Pro-stuffed disco house is accessible in a pair of headphones. Though the battery life could be a bit better (10 hours as opposed to 15 in the Everest 700 Elite), the TruNote calibration (found in more expensive AKG headphones) is what separates the JBL Everest 300 Elite apart from other headphones in the past. You can customize the noise cancellation and the frequency response through a touch of your smartphone. Moreso, the dual-phase wired and wireless is a plus. So even though the headphones may be uncomfortable to some, it's a recommended product, but the JBL Pro-inspired sound seems to be very beautiful once you get used to the product.

One of the best bluetooth headphones
I just bought my JBL Everest Elite 300 less than a week now, and I really enjoy its sound quality and other technological features they come along with it like the ANC. Honestly, 3 of my colleagues loved how it isolate you from the outer world when you have it on.

I would like to mention that the downloadable mobile app through the App store or Google play is so handy and a game changer as it gives you more control over the headphones by letting you control the audio frequencies to approach a satisfying sound based on the genre you're listening to through the custom equalizer feature, you will not find this feature available from its competitors. So JBL won the competition for this wow feature.

The only thing that I think it's a minus point and I'm not happy with is the plastic materials have been used for the core build. I already started to feel that the ear cups getting a bit loose from the couple of times that I used the headphones for. For a guy who used to use the V-moda M100 military grade headphones, I would expect something that really built to last for quite some time.

Overall, I like them and will use them for a long time as much as they live with me, these are not my first headphones, hence, I'm a DJ and music producer. But their sound quality is competing big names out their, so I can see a huge future for its successor.

I'm a fan.
This was my first pair of on ear headphones, I'm pretty happy with them.
I like the app that comes with it, the sound quality is on point, from rock music all the way to rap, the sound works with it all. The things I do not like is how my ears start to hurt after wearing them for long periods of time, I was expecting a lot more comfort . The noise canceling is meh.
Overall I'm happy with my choice of going with JBL.

Excellent Bluetooth headphones
I looked/listened to several bluetooth headphones and these are by far the best for the money. They sound very good and are generally comfortable. One thing that I particularly like is the Android app that can be used with these. The ability to adjust the EQ is excellent.
My only minor complain is that they are a tad tight - at least I notice it more since I wear glasses. They push the frames into my head and after around a half hour I have to take the phones off for a bit.
One suggestion I have is for the app - make it possible to adjust the auto power down feature. I think it is a bit short.
