JBL Bar 2.0 All-in-One Compact 2.0 Channel Sound Bar

Improved home sound all round. A product of choice.

I have to say I bought this sound bar because of its unusual size and not it's sound. It was the only sound bar I could find which sat snuggly under the TV. The sound is fine for normal (speaking TV but not outstanding for music. Perhaps that's why there is now a new JBL studio sound bar which is bigger and presumably better - but it wouldn't fit under my TV! It's quite good for me but a bit pricey. There are lots of cheaper ones out there possibly with better sound, but the wrong dimensions. Bit of a gap in the market I would say!

Bought this as a Christmas present to myself but had to open it early as outer packaging was damaged and needed to ensure that unit was okay.
Fortunately it was and I have been using it for a couple of weeks now.
Easy to use,not sure that tv sound is that great but very good when connected to phone with Bluetooth.
Nice and compact and probably worth the money.

I bought this with tripidation as it had no bass unit but when I set it up I was very impressed with the sound.

I was expecting a little more thump from this but it's mainly just very clear highs.. good for the money

Bought the soundbar for the TV which sounds great but really comes into it's own when used via bluetooth to play my music. Great value and fantastic sound.

Very low quality and sound, tv is better sound. I don’t know why, but my JBL 2.0 Bar is very bad sound, no bass no nothing. I don’t recommended.

Bought because the anemic built in speakers weren't doing any shows justice. This thing is conveniently small but packs a big punch. Sound fills out well and creates a very immersive experience.

Extremely happy with this sound bar! I recently had purchased two other bars before this one, both were a huge pain in the butt to get the tv to recognize them, neither worked as advertised. I hooked this sound bar up and instantly my tv recognized it connected to it and without having to do a single thing the tv remote works the soundbar volume!! Soundbar quality is what you would expect from JBL, excellent all round.

Nice product definitely better than my TV by itself. Is it theater type quality No but it sounds good

Slightly disappointed, given the mostly positive reviews & cited awards. Spoken dialogue doesn’t sound like it’s in stereo & the mid-range is generally flat. I can’t detect much surround sound effect either but the bass is pretty good. I wonder if some different EQ settings might help, as were available on the previous Studio model? I suspect it’s a case of ‘you get what you pay for’ but the poor speech quality means I can’t recommend this as a TV speaker.

I bought this to improve the sound quality on a small tv and have been extremely pleased by the performance and quality of this item. I expected some improvement but was not expecting the difference this has made. The clarity of the sound from the tv was a major problem and we struggled to understand the spoken word and music etc was very tinny. As soon as the soundbar was installed it made a huge difference and we could clearly hear everything at the other end of a large room. Also the bass output is amazing and added depth to music in particular. All round an excellent piece of kit and extremely good value.

Bought a couple of weeks ago and works well. Not a patch on a 5.1 system but good for its size and very simple to set up.

This was a gift for my girlfriend. She really likes the sound. It’s a great sound bar for the price. Ordered it on line and it arrived as scheduled.

I added this sound bar because the speakers in my 32” bedroom tv weren’t sufficient for my hearing loss when I remove my hearing aids at night. Your sound bar corrected this deficiency. Easy to set up, non-obtrusive, and quality. Thanks!

I have just purchased this sound bar at a reasonable price, easy to set up, I am using the HDMI cable to give me the best results. The good points, its light, easy to use, small. The bad points, you have to have the volume set on maximum to bring out any good quality sound experience. I would spend more if you can on at least 300 watt sound bar, 80 watt does not cut it.

Just hooked it up and is it just me but when I turn on the bar it doesn't seem to sync up with the TV sound wise. The TV is slightly ahead of the soundbar. So I see what they're saying just before they say it. Ever so slight but oh so distracting.

The volume goes off and it shuts off for no reason, this shouldn't happen to a new model.I love JBL but not happy with this new purchase.

The minute I turned it on to listen, it could of been better... the sound wasn’t as deep and realistic experienced... could use different parts of bass in movies to sounds better, just sounded loud and clear but does not feel like if you were in a cinema

I've had the device for one week - perfect for my needs.

Bought it to upgrade the tv sound for a Samsung TV in my office and couldn't be happier. For how it's being used it offers enough bass and treble and is a considerable upgrade from the tv speakers. It's not going to produce surround sound but that's not its intent. Quick and easy to setup using HDMI ARC.

The goal was to improve my tv sound. I didn’t expect it to make it that much better. Any music now sounds great; have switched to just putting on Pandora and having a “house stereo”. Bluetooth for my IPad was easy to do, too.
Unfortunately I found out my tv did not have an “optical” HDMI output, so I was not able to use the enclosed HDMI cable (had to purchase the special ARC cable separately.

I bought this product a week ago and in general I am satisfied except for the bass

Count me highly pleased with the sound bars. Would definitely purchase again. One wish would be just a bit more bass to really push them over the top.

I’m am okay with this sound bar given the price point. I bought it to make sure I never blew out the TV speaker. But, I do wish it had better bass. Frankly, it doesn’t sound any different than the TV speaker though.

This sound bar is really affordable and the sound is good for the price.

Size of the product is good for a 50 inches TV, and in room of 100ft2, bass sound is not that good but it is better than the TV.

JBL produced another amazing product with amazing sound quality and excellent features. The Bluetooth connection is a breeze. The volume can be controlled through the paired device or the control that comes with this amazing sound bar. ARC connection option and optic sound connection are also great options that allow you to make the most out of your space. The design is simple and elegant. You can hang the sound bar with ease, I was surprised by how light it felt and was thankful for the design which allowed it to be gripped properly and comfortably.

To give a little context, I am not actually using my own Netflix account, which might allude to a basic fact that my TV, while LCD, is old. It doesn't have "ARC," an acronym I didn't use 5 days ago. For those in the same boat as me, never fear, I purchased a very lovely adapter that resolved my issues straight away.

Once plugged in the sound immediately works with the TV. I've also easily hooked it up with bluetooth. This bar is pretty much designed for the TV, though. The sound is very crisp and clean and perfect for enjoying on screen entertainment but doesn't really have the depth you'd want with music. I probably wouldn't use it for both purposes which is why I gave it 4 out of 5 stars.

Otherwise, I love it, I think with the amount of time I spend plopped on the couch, it is fitting to have a sound bar. This one looks nice, has a really easy set up and, most importantly, sounds great!

We have a decent but older television in our back bedroom, but the sound it produces is muffled and unclear. I was hoping that a smaller sound bar would improve the watching experience for it. I didn't want a thundering bass cube or a bunch of wires, so I decided on the JBL Bar 2.0 to fit the need. I connected the speaker to the TV optical input and plugged it in to the wall, and turned it on. All I can say is that the television was transformed completely. Suddenly, sounds I couldn't hear at all before were bouncing around the room with crystal clarity. The sound of a chair being moved, papers rustling, cars driving by in the background of the scene were clearly heard. The sound wasn't really coming from all directions, but a clear separation was happening adding depth and dimension to my listening experience.
This little sound bar also has a bluetooth feature that allows my phone, tablet, laptop, and mp3 player to wirelessly connect to it. The simple controller has a bluetooth button at the top right, when pressed it changes the speaker input from the television to bluetooth. Connection is instantaneous. A test of bass heavy music showed me that this little bar can really pound. Even at very high volume, I didn't notice any rattle or distortion. It is really nice to be able to have an extra sound source to listen to music in a new part of the house.
If you are looking for something to improve your TV's sound, and also provide a new access point for listening to music without installing a big system, you have found your sound bar. JBL signature sound does not disappoint. The simplicity of this model is delightful. A power cord to the wall and one wire to the television, either HDMI or Optical, and you are good to go.

Just as the title of this review says, I was looking for the right speaker to play movie audio and the Bar 2.0 serves that purpose! As for playing music, it doesn't fully exceed my expectations as it struggles to hold the bass I'm looking for... but with slight EQ adjustments through my phone settings, it plays loud enough for enjoyment. Definitely loud and clear enough for a party setting as well.

I received this less than a month ago, and it is an excellent piece of equipment. I have always been a fan of the excellent speakers JBL designs and manufactures. The sound quality is excellent for a small bar like it is with bass that does not require a subwoofer.

used to have my music everywhere: at the GYM I have JBL reflect flaws. For going out to the beach I use JBL charge 3 and for my apt now I have JBL BAR 2.0 ALL IN ONE. Why JBL? Because of its warm BASS and balanced sound. With that said JBL BAR 2.0 was a perfect gift for me!!! I’m an international dental student of LLU Dental school and having this type of soundbar for my small apt was just what I was missing. For example, it has a compact design(moreover, it has some tools with which you can attach it to the wall and enjoy the music) The sound is really good: for this price The BAR sounds really good I just love it . ALso,The Bar is connected to my phone and TV through Bluetooth and I can switch from one to another without any problem one click and that's it. though there is no perfect soundbars in this world, I can say that this is a great one for a student like me!

Good:

Design - I like the defsign. It is sleek and simple.
Sound - Overall, the bar sounds great! There is good treble and evven without subwoofers, they provide some food punchy bass. I live in a dorm, so my room is small but the bar can get really loud and I think it can fill a much bigger room which is great if I had friends over and needed a speaker.
HDMI - It synchronizes really well with the TV so it enhances the experience

Bad:

Functionality - The biggest downside is turning the Sound Bar on. I cannot for the liffe of me tell if the bar is on unless I place the bar somewhere high up. The only indicator that I get is the light in the of the bar, but unfortunately my bar can only fit behind my TV so it is really difficult to know if the bar is on because there is no sound to indicate that. Even a subtle sound to indicate that it's on would be amazing!
Bluetooth - Sometimes it's a challenge to tell if bluetooth pairing or sync is on becasue it also doesn't make a sound. Sometimes my phone just does not connect to it.

I had this device for almost a week so far I've noticed that it needs not only a HDMI cord because not everyone wants to give up the HDMI port it doesn't come with the optical audio input so you will have to buy one with performance sounds good if you're looking for a theater type sound for your room or area

I received this a week ago and hooked up to my new tv and I couldn’t believe the sound when I started watching tv I thought my expensive tv had good sound this is so much better and I can hear great instead of turning up the tv I can’t say enough if you’re in the market get this you will not regret it love jbl

This Bar was easy to set up and produces a great sound . It’s like having surround sound but it’s just coming out of this wonderful product. I would highly recommend this Speaker to anyone who has limited space as it takes up so little and produces such great sound . JBL has outdone themselves this time

This speaker has great sound quality and great should range. At half volume it can fill a room with whatever is playing. After opening the box it takes about 30 seconds before you’ve already hooked it up to the tv. All of the functions work well except if you want to play music out of it when the tv is on. This is pretty specific and all you have to do is unplug the speaker, but still something I enjoy.
With the incredible sound, ease of use, and the impressive design, this might be my favorite JBL product yet.

Recently received the JBL Bar 2.0 All-In-One sound bar and my first impressions were what a great looking piece of electronics. This bar is very sleek and good looking. The bar came packaged very well protected and in great condition as all JBL products do. Couldn’t have been easier to hook up and blended well with my decor. Ease of installation was easy and has several options for hook up for any tv. Remote was very easy to use and learn where all features are. This bar has great sound output with clear audio for watching movies and listening to music via Bluetooth. I traded this sound bar out with a older RCA sound bar and what a huge difference when watching movies I can now here with clarity and no longer need subtitles to read what I couldn’t hear before. I definitely recommend the JBL Bar 2.0 All-In-One for anyone looking for just a sound bar with great sound and ease of use.

I have had this bar for 2 weeks now, and pretty much i have tried on movies, gaming series and music, the dolby atmos does a great job for movies as well as for gaming, the Bluetooth streaming is quite fast and easy to set up,
It has An overall good sound but honestly i got really surprised on the bass end for such as small bar. This would be mostly likely for a small set up , small room,small office even on a gaming set up sincr it is easy to fit pretty much anywhere as they way i was using this for the last couple ofmonth

I was surprised by the JBL soundbar 2.0 all in one. I loved that it comes with a remote and a HDMI cable and also batteries! The sound volume maxed out is really loud and also it sounded like it wasnt only coming from just one place the sound really was surround sound. It has quite a bit of bass and it is light weight and easy to set up and install. Easy to connect to by Blutooth and also easy set up for the t.v HDMI cord. I would recommend this product to anyone comes in a nice box with a handle and looks sleak and does not take up too much space. Also has a wall mount feature that comes with screws and wall mount which is seriously so handy.

Great sound with simple and easy to use controls. It has a great range, crisp highs and mellow lows. Also has a sleek and stylish profile which will fit any setting. Verdict 5 star

I received this sound bar from being a member of your Backstage Pass. It took me less than 30 minutes from unpacking and installation on the wall to connected to my tv and bluetooth connection to my phone. A+. The sound is more than I had expected. The bass was not over the top. And the highs and mid-range was top notch. What a bargain. I would not expect anything else from JBL. This the reason I have been a customer of yours for over 20 years.

It came in the mail and a soon as i set it up i was in love the bass takes you away and is sounds so clear it also loud as can be all the way up

I got it about a week ago for my monitor since it doesnt have speakers and it is perfect for it. Now I have a true surround sound for my main tv and I can tell you it cant replace an expensive surround system, but it is good enough to improve your built it speakers if you need a little more sound. Sound quality is good but it could be better,and the only thing I wish it had was more sound inputs because it only had 3 inputs and it's only Hdmi, optical cable and bluetooth. Other than that it's pretty good.

I’ve been using this product over a week now and it’s changed my family’s entire movie experience at home. It sounds like a theatre in my family room. The sound quality is more than I could ever ask for. It’s easy to use. It’s one piece and sounds like full surround sound all around. Every time I turn on a movie, everyone in the house makes their way to the family room. #LOVEJBL
