Small, but Mighty

Don’t be fooled by the Focal FPX 4.400SQ’s small chassis: this compact car amplifier can produce up to 100 watts continuously per channel (at 2 ohms). If that wasn’t impressive enough, the amplifier only measures 12-3/8” wide, 2-5/16” tall, and 6-15/16” deep in size, so it’s small enough to tuck away under a seat or behind a panel. The Class D technology used in the making of this amplifier keeps the amplifier running efficiently and coolly.

Class A/B Technology

As we briefly mentioned earlier, the Focal FPX 4.400SQ amplifier uses Class A/B technology. We won’t bore you with the details as to why this is a great choice for a speaker amplifier, but Class A/B technology does offer stronger output and better sound quality when compared to some of the other technologies out there. If you’re looking to really get the most from your new (or existing) speakers, consider this amplifier as a top candidate.

Tuning Galore

The FPX 4.400SQ amplifier has quite a few controls on its side panel. These controls (gain adjustments, frequency multiplier, high-pass filters, etc.) allow you to dial in the perfect sound with stunning clarity and precision. There is a reason why Focal is considered one of the elite car audio manufacturers in the world, after all.

Looking for a different amplifier configuration? The Focal FPX-series is also available in a Class D monoblock or Class D 4-channel design.

I plan to put it in my spare tire well, in my trunk. There's no air flow in there. Will the amp get too hot?

Good question. Any amplifier installed in a vehicle should have adequate ventilation. If it doesnt, there is a risk of overheating as well as potential amplifier failure. Give us a call at 215.368.8343 and one of our guys can help with a solution. Thanks.
