The Clear MG high-fidelity open-back headphones incorporate the new technology of a speaker driver with an ‘M’-shaped Magnesium dome. Magnesium is light and boasts a significant damping factor, offering great dynamics and detail across the full sound spectrum while preserving a neutral and balanced signature.

In addition to their sound quality, Clear MG headphones stand out for their chic and elegant design. Their Chestnut and Mixed Metals finish, as well as the fine materials used (leather, aluminum, microfibre), make it a truly design-led accessory. Supplied with two cables and a carrying case, it has everything you could need to enjoy incredible sound in a quiet environment.

Spacious, pleasant, and detailed sound signature, which suits almost all genres. Easily driven by almost any device, but an entry-level amplifier definitely helps the sound quality. Built like a tank, looks like a king, and comfortable as a pillow.

Absolutely blown away by the sound of these I have had high end hifi for many many years, naim mostly with some real nice Proac Future speakers these headphones have me going back through my collection in amazement listening again and i'm not even using a headphone amp yet as it doesn't arrive for another few days yet. The detail and clarity achieved along with the bass extension is nothing short of astonishing. If you purchase these expect to have them glued to your head for a while as you are not going to want to take them back off.

I've only had these for a month and they're probably not completely broken-in yet, but so far I find they are quite detailed in all frequencies but also very smooth and musical; I feel I'm hearing EVERYTHING in all of my recordings. It's a wonderful experience and I am hesitant to take them off to go to bed in the evening!

Fantastic Sound, have to get used to the clamping force but hope it will loosen up a bit in time.

I’ll be brief here and simply say that the new FOCAL Clear MG is a fantastic sounding and beautiful looking headphone.

They are brighter up top but this is awesome especially if you’re an older audio enthusiast who has some opportunity in hearing the highest frequencies. However, I don’t consider these harsh or sibilant in any way.

I’d also say that if you like a very revealing signature that leans a bit to the bright side with just the right amount of low end rumble and mids definition, these would be a great option for you. These are also quite open with good staging, imaging, and an industry leader in dynamics.

The comfort is very good out of the box but also improves after several days.

I own the original Clears, Elears, and the Elex and each offers something slightly different. These headphones are also quite influenced by your amp and source so keep that in mind.

I wouldn’t pair this headphone with a bright amplifier. That’s not to say that you wouldn’t enjoy them but you wouldn’t have an optimal pairing.

FOCAL makes wonderful products that not only please the eyes but they’re also pleasing to the ears and that’s where it really counts.

Not really a review as it is just some general thoughts and observations.
