Outstanding Receiver
This is my first Denon receiver and I am completely blown away by it. I have owned other numerous brands of receivers and Denon has made me true believer in the quality of their components. It has such superb sound and picture. Also the build quality is great and it shows on every component that I have connected to it. Plus I like how that there will be a HDMI hardware upgrade eventually later on this year to help future proof this component. Thank you Denon for such a wonderful component.

The Denon AVR-X8500H is the best AVR since the AVR-5308ci!
I’ve owned the Denon AVR-X8500H for almost three months now. I’ve also owned many previous Denon AVR’s including the 2802, 3802, 3805, 4308ci, 4520ci and the 7200wa. All of these models were great AVR’s especially the 4xxx series. Once I made the jump to the AVR-X7200wa I really noticed a significant difference in both quality and power. When I heard that Sound United LLC bought D&M Holdings I knew that the Denon & Marantz brands were going to get even better, as Sound United LLC has always had outstanding quality with the brand names they owned. I was so excited to see them take Denon to another level with the AVR-X8500H, as not only does it have 13 channels on board but if you look under the hood it’s packed with very high end quality components! By the way, the Denon AVR-X8500H weighs 51.2lbs, not the 39lbs listed under tech specs. Refer to Denon’s website and you’ll see the corrected weight of 51.2lbs. I weighed my receiver just to confirm this. This is a beast of a receiver with noticeably improved audio quality over the X7200wa! I love this receiver and I plan on having it as the heart of my home theater for many years to come. Great job Denon for making such an outstanding product! It may be a bit pricey for some, but I can confirm with experience with this receiver that it’s worth every penny!

Whats big different with Denon 7200WA?
A shopper on Sep 24, 2018
The 7200WA is a 9 channel receiver, while this 8500H is a 13.2 channel receiver. Along with these extra channels is a bigger amplifier section and a more robust power supply to ensure all channels are able to have sufficient wattage for speakers in a 13 channel setup.
