Nice model, but way too difficult to set up
I have a Denon 4802 receiver I purchased in 2019 and up until a few months ago had not had one problem with it. Now the left front channel doesn't work. So I decided I should get something more modern. Well, the 2600H fits what I was looking for...price, features, etc. But the advertising touting how easy it is to set up is BS. I can't get this thing set up to save my life. I need to go find an electronics guru that can wade through the gibberish in the web-based owner's manual because it doesn't give any instructions at all. So far this has been a waste of my money and added frustration to my life I don't want or need.

Not sure about this one yet ???
Brought this one to replace a older Denon. Needed 4K. My full opinion is still out , this receiver will drop audio for no reason like its on "mute" but its not, will also get stuck on a mode like "fire tv" & can not be changed. Either have to try & power it down or last resort is just unplug it. Not real impressed , have not had any issues with any denon products in the past, this is probably my 5th one? (lost 1 to lightning strike) My work hours are keeping me from trying to get tech line on the phone. Sure hope its just a software update ?? or ??

I'd like to give it a 5 but...
This amp solved many problems I couldn't fix with my previous Yamaha RX-V667. I can now sound through Dolby Digital from LG smart TV apps, upscale to 4K, and allows me to over-ride HDMI-CEC auto-switching (I want the Xfinity box to always come up as default but the Blue Ray box always requested control first). Sound is very clear and crisp. That said, the amp will randomly shut off (usually in the first 30 minutes of being powered on) with a red flashing light. This usually happens once or twice a day and then I can go for days without it happening. I can't find anything in the troubleshooting section about what this error code means and full disclosure haven't called support because I haven't been able to call from home during business hours because I've been working. If the solution Denon recommends is to disable eARC or ARC, my review is going to get down graded.

Excellent sound
My last TV starts acting up and it is time for an upgrade. Last TV was connected to a Denon AVR-1712, which did an excellent job over the years. Moving to the 4K world, I need to replace the sound receiver. Due to my good experience with Denon, I opted to stay with Denon and bought the Denon AVR-X2600H. After a quick setup and calibrating the speakers setup with the Audyssey on the Denon, the TV and music, sounds very good. I am still playing with all the options (for example, the internet radio) on this box but I have a feeling I will not be disappointed. This AVR-X2600H definitely impressed me, and I do recommends this AVR to anyone looking for a well tuned sound.

What I like is the fact you can bi-wire your speakers if you have two sets of posts on your speakers. This amp is excellent for music lovers who also enjoy tv.You can listen to tv with the amp. Turn off the amp and waite, then the tv comes on with it's own sound. This is cool, tv on mono, music choice stations full on loud. After about ten hours of break in I played John Tesh live at Red Rocks with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra ( rock music). The two amp setup is ackeret and strong. My setup is simple, two channel with self powered subwoofer. My speakers are JBL E30 bookshelf with two tweeters, one for high notes, one for mid range, and a small woofer. My subwoofer is Yamaha 80 w/ 10 inch. speaker. For the music lovers there is sub woofer one and two. For those who have a CD player there is a cd post like a blu-ray post, also a phono post. I have this connected to the internet for future streaming. I will leave the bluetooth and streaming to other reviewers. Music first, this avr - x is well rounded and full of features for both camps.

Love, love, love!
I've had an old sony receiver with DTS etc for over a decade.
With Nvidia shield, sky and bluray and Xbox one inputs I was stuffed with NO hdmi inputs on the sony. Time for change. The fantastic Tower Audio in my home town of Blackpool hooked me up with this and I went away and did research.

I was especially interested in the Alexa integration, having lighting and more already controlled by her. The 'skill' has had a bad hit on reviews, but I found it almost perfect with zero hassle to set up. I've still no idea though why she can turn off the unit, but not turn it back on from standby. I've also had problems with Alexa changing inputs once I renamed them to 'shield' etc. It's a work in progress, I get it, and it's only just been released.

I've had a complete blank from Denon on twitter lol.

As far as sound, even using my 12 year old or so tiny sony 5.1's right down to the subwoofer, it's a definite difference for the better. Below 60% volume the unit seems quiet.. I'd run my old sony on 30-55 most of the time. I'll look into why later.

Teething aside, it's a stunning, quality feeling unit, and the OS on tv is very good. App worked perfectly also, and then as I said basics with alexa work great too. I'm looking forward to the future with this.

2 cons and they're purely personal.. I'd prefer a lit remote, and a proper printed manual! Within 600 quid surely you can accomodate this.

I was looking for an AVR to replace my Yamaha RX-A840 and did a lot of research to find one that would go with my LG OLED55E7P and other 4K components. Denon AVR-X2600H came out on top for the best overall AVR on the market.

Does the Denon AVR-X2600H support DLNA?
A shopper on Jul 31, 2020
Thanks for your question. DLNA Certification is a standard primarily for manufacturers for cable, satellite, and telecom service providers. The AVR-X2600H is compatible with any DLNA certified device capable of connecting to it.
Can you add amplification to any or all of the 7 channels? Is there assignable pre-amp out to external amps? Do Denon's more advanced models--the AVR 3600H, or the forthcoming 4600H, have this ability--not to add channels but to amplify existing channels?
A shopper on Feb 25, 2020
Thanks for your questions. Many premium AV Receivers have Preamp output jacks. They allow you to connect a more powerful power amplifier, bypassing the internal amplifiers. The AVR-X2600 does not include any pre-outs.
The AVR-X3600 does include front, center, surround, surround back, height 1, and height 2 pre-out optional connectors. I expect the 4600 will also have the same optional connections.
how does this receiver compare to yamaha aventage rx-a1080 7.2-channel network a/v receiver in terms of reliability and ease of use? I'm running a 5.1 with powered sub. Thanks.
A shopper on Nov 12, 2019
All surround receivers have a degree of complexity. None are really easier than others.
