Incredible Sound
Don't believe all the professional reviews that find various faults with these headphones. I have been listening to the highly rated Sennheiser HD 600 open back for the past 2.5 years along with a high powered AMP, and upgraded headphone and AMP interconnect cables and was able to get rid of four pieces of equipment, in exchange for the single piece Symphony 1. Built in AMP, no wires and phenomenal noise insulation / cancellation which further improves the audiophile quality sound. Just what I expected from Def Tech, having used their extraordinary home audio equipment for many years. It seems the critics can't accept the fact that they have hit a home run on their first try.

Best wireless headphones on the market
I got these today and they are awesome, very clear and evenly tone balanced. Bluetooth setup is a snap and high quality there is also no noise canceling hiss or pressure. These things are quite comfortable and light as well.

Best Wireless headphones
Just received them yesterday in the mail and i am loving everything about them. Nice build quality, they fit very nice over the ears and probably the best sounding wireless headphones in the market right now.

After 3 days...
I purchased this item 3 days ago,
So far the audio is great.
The bluetooth and battery life has been good.
The noise cancelling is good, and doesn't have the large 'hiss' that a lot of other brands do.
Build quality seems robust.
The only bad thing is that the headphones barely fit on my head.
If you have a large head then try them on in store before purchasing as they may not fit your head.

Finally, the perfect headphones!
Bought these from best buy on 03/22/2015 for $400.00. Excellent sound from the 50 mm drivers but with one exception - I have got a large head and the headband adjustment needs another inch to fit me.

Dynamite Headphones!
My first impression was WOW! The box was very elegant and I thought I had received a Rolex watch. It certainly made it feel like an executive gift. The carrying case is bigger than my old Bose carrying case, but it appears that it is very protective. The carrying bag is a good idea since I normally ditch the carrying case when I travel on an airplane.

The headset are very comfortable compare to my old Bose NC headphones. My old Bose headphones had the ear and head bridge material deteriorate over time. Perhaps the Symphony 1 headphones will not do this. I was upset that Bose wouldn’t replace the material. Instead, they wanted to charge me with material replacements for the ear cups only. Nothing for the head bridge! Poor job on Bose.

The Symphony 1 setup was very easy. I was up and running in no time. BT pairing to my iPhone and Mac laptop was a piece of cake. I like how you have an option of BT (Bluetooth) or hardwire connection to the sound source. Good thinking here.

The active noise cancellation (ANC) is outstanding. I was listening to my Aerosmith album in the laundry room and I could not hear the washing machine!! I can’t imagine how it will sound on the airplane.

The Symphony 1 headphones are larger than my old Bose and appear to be the same size as Beats by Dr. Dre. They certainly look and feel like sound studio quality headsets. The volume control on the headset is a good placement.

I’m not an audio sound expert, so I can’t give an expert opinion on the sound response and quality. However, I do love the sound it puts out. Lots of bass and clear treble. I’m listening to my Dave Matthews Band Live at Red Rocks and I feel like I’m at the concert!

Worth The Price
I've had Symphony 1 headphones for 6 months. I fly a lot and love the convenience and sound of these. The over-the-ear style eliminates much sound and the noise cancellation takes care of the rest. Fully charged they last for hours so need to change out batteries. They work without being turned on (many noise cancelling phones do not). The sound stage is huge and I hear instruments I hadn't heard with previous headphones. They fold into soft bag that fits in carry on. Oh, and did I mention they work wirelessly with Bluetooth. Awesome!

Great headphones - with one trick
I'll start with the one trick that I've found -- I initially had a problem with bluetooth phone conversations "tunneling out" and becoming inaudible for the other party, after a minute or a few minutes. I've found a fix for this, which is to disable the wireless connection on the cell phone (and possibly the cell data connection - I don't ever have this enabled at home. If I do this before or during the call, I don't have this problem.
All of the other features of the headphones are terrific. The sound, especially with a pure audio connection (bluetooth or other), is great and you can hear so many details. I'm not an audiophile exactly but I have no complaints. I really like the ability to use it for listening to music while working, then when a call comes in through my cell, it cuts straight to the call, then back to the music (spotify for me)! And wireless the whole time. Battery life so far is very good.

The only headphones you will ever need
I bought a pair of these over 3 years ago. They have served me well, in tried and true tested exhibitions. I've literally worn these for approximately 2-8 hours every day of 3 years, with no break. The pitch that can be heard is amazing. Base is more than adequate, though, sometimes I do expect more of a "thump". The texture of the actual headphone is very conducive to an euphoric experience, if one is so inclined. Highs, mids, and lows - this pair can provide it all, with some of the best active noise cancellation I've ever heard; and I've compared to Bose, etc. No headphones are perfect, but these set the bar so much higher for peers.
